what i have is on line 197 is this

Code: Select all

message_die(GENERAL_MESSAGE, $message);

it worked yesterday on my 2.0.15 board.
(I used a code like

Code: Select all

[quote="[url=(web address)]original author[/url]"](stuff related)[/quote]
and it worked.

*edit
In pagestart.php, I changed

redirect(append_sid("login.$phpEx?redirect=admin/&admin=1", true));

to

redirect(append_sid("login.$phpEx?redirect=admin/index.php&admin=1", true));

to point to the file itself and it works fine now.

As usual, thanks for the mod form update. :D

IMG tags missing in signatures

Post by Bullmax » Fri May 13, 2005 2:54 pm

The IMG tags are missing in everybodys signature on my board. Here is the bbcode change. I am not sure what is wrong:

Code: Select all

FIND - Line 197
2.0.14 Code:

   // [img]image_url_here[/img] code..
   // This one gets first-passed..
   $patterns[] = "#\[img:$uid\](.*?)\[/img:$uid\]#si";

REPLACE WITH
2.0.15 Code:

   // [img]image_url_here[/img] code..
   // This one gets first-passed..
   $patterns[] = "#\[img:$uid\]([^?].*?)\[/img:$uid\]#i";

the solution for the ACP problem...

Post by asinshesq » Fri May 13, 2005 2:59 pm

A lot of people have had problems with the double login to the ACP imposed by this upgrade ... even if the upgarade is installed correctly (and even if you use a fresh 2.0.15 set of files), some people end up getting taken to a white screen after logging into the ACP.

Someone a few pages back in this thread suggested that maybe the server software for these people is set up so that it does not look for index.php in a file if index.html is not present. I just went into my apache httpd.con file and sure enough, index.php was not on the list of files teh server looks for by default. So I added index.php to the list and then I tried the double login to the ACP again and EUREEKA, that does the trick.

Hope this helps others.

I found my mistake. I wiped out the line under the code:

Code: Select all

$replacements[] = $bbcode_tpl['img'];
It should look like this:

Code: Select all

// [img]image_url_here[/img] code..
         // This one gets first-passed..
        $patterns[] = "#\[img:$uid\]([^?].*?)\[/img:$uid\]#i";
        $replacements[] = $bbcode_tpl['img'];

The change in groupcp.php made it so usergroup moderators and admins couldn't add people to usergroups for some reason. I had to change it back to get it to work again. When adding someone, the response on the page was always: "The user does not exist" Don't know if it's just me. :?

Will this work with a 2.0.11 to 2.0.15?

If you mean directly upgrade from .11 to .15, no. You have to make each sequential upgrade in order for everything to work right. That is: 2.0.11 to 2.0.12 to 2.0.13 to 2.0.14 to 2.0.15.

You most likely missed a change or made one incorrectly. You should go back to your backup of that file and re-modify it.

First, if it isn't already installed, start by installing this:

[beta] EasyMOD v0.1.13 ...

Once you have EM installed and know how to use it, go to the following page:

phpBB Installation & Upgrade Tools.

Download the file for [Tools] phpBB 2.0.6 to phpBB 2.0.7 Code Changes and install it. Make sure that everything is working correctly, then go to the next, [Tools] phpBB 2.0.7 to 2.0.8 Code Changes and so on. Make sure you read the instructions for each and update the Database when told...

EasyMOD maintains a good backup at each step of the way, so if any of these upgrades cause any trouble, you can remove the txt extension from each backup file and overwrite the existing files and your board will be back to normal...

:lol:
