Looks the same...

Well I installed this mod with EasyMod, and yes I did run the Update To Latest first, and I had to skip these steps to get it to install. Is this safe to do:
admin/index

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
#
if ($fsock = @fsockopen('www.phpbb.com', 80, $errno, $errstr))

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]---------------------------------------------
#
if ($fsock = @fsockopen('www.phpbb.com', 80, $errno, $errstr, 10))

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
#
$version_info .= '<br />' . sprintf($lang['Latest_version_info'], $latest_version) . sprintf($lang['Current_version_info'], '2' . $board_config['version']) . '</p>';

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]---------------------------------------------
#
$version_info .= '<br />' . sprintf($lang['Latest_version_info'], $latest_version) . ' ' . sprintf($lang['Current_version_info'], '2' . $board_config['version']) . '</p>';

includes/functions

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# NOTE --- Removing trailing whitespaces
#
$username = phpbb_rtrim($username, "\\");

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]---------------------------------------------
#
$username = phpbb_rtrim($username, "\\");

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
#
// added at phpBB 2.0.12 to fix a bug in PHP 4.3.10 (only supporting charlist in php >= 4.1.0)
function phpbb_rtrim($str, $charlist = false)

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]---------------------------------------------
#
/**
* This function is a wrapper for ltrim, as charlist is only supported in php >= 4.1.0
* Added in phpBB 2.0.18
*/
function phpbb_ltrim($str, $charlist = false)
{
if ($charlist === false)
{
return ltrim($str);
}

$php_version = explode('.', PHP_VERSION);

// php version < 4.1.0
if ((int) $php_version[0] < 4 || ((int) $php_version[0] == 4 && (int) $php_version[1] < 1))
{
while ($str{0} == $charlist)
{
$str = substr($str, 1);
}
}
else
{
$str = ltrim($str, $charlist);
}

return $str;
}

Thanks in advance

I need help with admin_smilies.php

The same instructions was written twice. Is there a mistake there?

If we have to do the same thing twice, then

1. there is only one "$smile_url = ( isset" line. So I can't do it twice
2. there are 3 "message_die(MESSAGE" line. (one in smile_url and two in cat_des). do we have to change them all? or like I said before is there a mistake and it is written twice.

thanks

Had a couple of problems upgrading but it was mostly due to the fact that I am not using the Silver template.

I have one question, my BBCode dosen't seem to be working correctly. Here is what I mean:

Directions <~~~

Here it shows "Directions <~~~" but in my board its showing the full adress.

http://www.mapquest.com...XX=&2y=US&2a=&2c=Ames&2s=IA&2z=

Any clue why this is happening?

I will try to remember what MODS I have done..but personally I don't think I have installed anything that touches that file...

How can I when those lines do not exist in my code? I have several mods installed, so they may have edited it.

My BBcode is really screwed up..

Some of my members have www.address.com in their signatures but when you click on them the bbcode looks somenthing like this:

mailto:http://www.hidplanet.com

with the mailto: part at the beginning...anyone have any clue whats wrong? at this moment it seems that the best way to fix it is to just replace the files that were there before and start from scratch..what do you guys think?

Helppp!

BTW - BBcode was working fine before I went from .17 to .18
