fred_41 - try this:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
index.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
		$sql = "SELECT user_id, username, user_birthday, user_level
			FROM " . USERS_TABLE . "
			WHERE (user_birthday <= $start
				$operator user_birthday >= $end)
				AND user_birthday <> 0
				AND user_active = 1
			ORDER BY username DESC";
#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]----------------------------------
#
		$sql = "SELECT user_id, username, user_birthday, user_level
			FROM " . USERS_TABLE . "
			WHERE (user_birthday <= $start
				$operator user_birthday >= $end)
				AND user_birthday <> 0
				AND user_active = 1
			ORDER BY user_birthday ASC, username DESC";
RedTrinity - replacing my index_body.tpl with yours kinda breaks my board. I think either my overall_header.tpl / overall_footer.tpl files must need updating, or maybe the css does. Either way, the easiest approach might just be to give me FTP access. Although that said, this does appear to be more an issue with html than with this mod, specifically.

On another note, a tentative version of Birthdays 3.0.0 can be found here:

http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/ ... s3.0.0.zip

Here's the upgrade:

http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/ ... -3.0.0.txt

If you like the features 2.0.2 has to offer, I'd recommend not upgrading to 3.0.0 - 3.0.0 includes a lot of changes and if you already like the MOD as it is, it's likely only going to inconvenience you.

Hi everyone!

Post by pastorwilliam » Wed Jan 03, 2007 11:27 pm

Greetings everyone. The Birthdays MOD is fantatstic but I do have a Silly problem after I installed the Mod. How I hope someone knows a Fix. After installing I Signed out, and then tried to sign back in. It showed me in but then I was not signed in again. I quit out of my browser and cleared all temp files and then came back online and it still showed me online logged in but still requesting me to log in which this time it did log me back in. Thanks for all that help. Blessings

Sounds like a cookie problem. Deleting all the cookies you have for the message board should do the trick. If not, I'd recommend posting in the phpBB Support forum. The people who post there deal with this problem a lot more frequently than I do, and as such, are going to be much better suited to helping you than I am.

I can't find my includes/template.php file

Post by Malifecent » Thu Jan 04, 2007 11:03 pm

I did a search here first before asking, but I kep getting a Page Not Found message, so I apologize if this has been asked previously.

I am in the process of editting the php files so that I can install this mod, and came to this part:

Code: Select all

# start editing the user profile files
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
includes/template.php
I don't seem to have that file. am I looking in the wrong place? I am fairly new to ediiting and installing mods. I do have a few mods installed on my forum already, so I'm not sure if that could be causing the problem. Thanks for any help.

Ok...welll....hmmmm...very strange. I went and checked an old backup of my forum (I am doing this all on a test forum I have set up, btw) andf there is a template file in the old back up. I have no idea as to why I don't have one in my most recent backup, but I am going to copy this one over to see if that works...or completely screwes everything up, lol.

Well...after noticing a few other files missing and other strange things.....I am assuming that this mod isn't compatible with CH Mod? Good thing I backed up my files first if it isn't, lol.

Nope, I don't think it is compatible. Making a mod compatible with the CH mod is kinda like writing a mod for an entirely different forum package. There are some similarities, but there are a ton of dissimilarities, too.

Looking back at some of the previous posts in this thread, I see fred_41 has it on his board:

Works fine for me and I use WinZip, too. Maybe try this link?:

http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/ ... thdays.zip

Feel free to try the tentative 3.0.0, too:

http://www.frostjedi.com/terra/scripts/ ... s3.0.0.zip
