Yes it did TerraFrost :lol:

I believe this code is the culprit, does this look okay?

Code: Select all

if ( !$board_config['bday_lock'] || $userdata['user_birthday'] == 0 )
   {
      $block = ( $board_config['bday_require'] == TRUE ) ? 'birthday_required' : 'birthday_optional';
      $template->assign_block_vars($block, array());
      $template->birthday_interface();
   }
TerraFrost, has this issue came up with anyone else you know of with the 2.0.22 upgrade? Is a fix out or is it just mine :oops:

I'm confused. In your last post, you were unable to download this MOD. Now, you're asking whether or not a specific portion of this MOD is responsible for... you not being able to download it?

Anyway, like I said, I'm a little confused :)

I was going through with the information I had. I have an older copy of this mod. When I came across this section I notice that these are the lines (1296) in usercp_register.php the the error referenced. I have not downloaded a fresh copy yet. From the looks of the download section this mod has not been updated since 2.0.22 came out so my guess is it is the same copy I have.

EDIT: I have a copy of the 2.0.2

What I have learned:

I did a little trouble shooting and this is what I found.

I uploaded a fresh copy of usercp_register.php from the 2.0.22 folder.
The profile edit and registration worked fine (minus the options for the mods that are installed, just not there)
I then moded that fresh copy of usercp_register.php with the mods I have one by one. I installed the birthday mod last.
When I moded the birthdays code to it and uploaded it went back to that error.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: birthday_interface() in /home/content/v/f/l/vfleming/html/forum/includes/usercp_register.php on line 1260

I took out code this code because this was around line 1260:

Code: Select all

if ( !$board_config['bday_lock'] || $userdata['user_birthday'] == 0 )
   {
      $block = ( $board_config['bday_require'] == TRUE ) ? 'birthday_required' : 'birthday_optional';
      $template->assign_block_vars($block, array());
      $template->birthday_interface();
   }
and the pages came back up with no errors (of course the birthday mod will not work though)
So I'm confident that the trouble is in the above code and my belief is that when I upgraded to 2.0.22 this came about.

Do you have any suggestions to fix this conflict?

Sorry I was so unclear before, I confuse myself sometimes :lol:

I have installed the birthday mod and everything is working great with it. However I have another mod installed...Chat box mod and after I entered the Birthday coding into the index_body.tpl my whole index footer looks akward. My Board Stats box has been cut down in size and I am missing my Who's Chatting title above my 'join chat' link.
Image

My current coding in my index_body.tpl looks like:

Code: Select all

<table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" border="0" class="forumline">
  <tr>
	<td class="catHead" colspan="2" height="28"><table width="100%">
<tr>
<td width="50%" align="left"><span class="cattitle"><a href="{U_VIEWONLINE}" class="cattitle">{L_WHO_IS_ONLINE}</a></span></td>
<td width="50%" align="right"><span class="cattitle"><a href="{U_MARK_READ}" class="cattitle">{L_MARK_FORUMS_READ}</a></span></td>
</tr>
</table></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
	<td class="row1" align="left" colspan="2"><span class="gensmall">{TOTAL_USERS_ONLINE} &nbsp; [ {L_WHOSONLINE_ADMIN} ] &nbsp; [ {L_WHOSONLINE_MOD} ]<br />{RECORD_USERS}<br />{LOGGED_IN_USER_LIST}<br />{L_ONLINE_EXPLAIN}</span></td>
</tr>
<!-- BEGIN birthdays -->
  <tr>
	<td class="catHead" colspan="2" height="28"><span class="cattitle">{L_TODAYS_BIRTHDAYS}</span></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
	<td class="row1" align="center" valign="middle"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_birthday.gif" alt="{L_VIEW_BIRTHDAYS}" /></td>
	<td class="row1" align="left" width="100%">
	  <span class="gensmall">{BIRTHDAYS}
	  <!-- BEGIN upcoming -->
	  <br />{UPCOMING}
	  <!-- END upcoming -->
	  </span>
	</td>
  </tr>
  <!-- END birthdays -->
<tr>
    <td class="catHead" colspan="2" height="28"><span class="cattitle">Chat Room</span></td>
	<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
	[ {L_LOGIN_TO_JOIN_CHAT} ]
	<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->
	<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
	[ <a href="javascript:void(0);" onClick="window.open('{S_JOIN_CHAT}','{CHATBOX_NAME}','scrollbars=no,width=540,height=450')">{L_CLICK_TO_JOIN_CHAT}</a> ]
	<!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
	<br />{CHATTERS_LIST}
	</span>
	</td>
  </tr>
<tr>
	<td class="catHead" colspan="3" height="28"><span class="cattitle">Board Statistics - Forum Legend</span></td>

	<td><span class="gensmall">{L_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
	<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
	<td width="20" align="center"><img src="templates/SoftBlue/images/folder_big.gif" alt="{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}" /></td>
	<td><span class="gensmall">{L_NO_NEW_POSTS}</span></td>
	<td>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>
	<td width="20" align="center"><img src="templates/SoftBlue/images/folder_locked_big.gif" alt="{L_FORUM_LOCKED}" /></td>
	<td><span class="gensmall">{L_FORUM_LOCKED}</span></td>
  </tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- Begin: Top Posters on Index -->
<table width="100%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" border="0" class="forumline">
<tr>
	<td class="catHead" align ="left" colspan="2" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="genmed"><b>{L_TOP_POSTERS}</b></td>
</tr>
<tr>
	<td class="row1" align="left" valign="middle" width="100%"><span class="genmed">{TOP_POSTERS}</span></td>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- End: Top Posters on Index -->
</div>
<br clear="all" />
I would like the Board Stats to not be soo squished together and also my Who's Chatting title bar back above the chat room information if anyone can help with it. I followed the b-day mod directions exactly, but since I have other mods installed its looking weird. Thanks in advance!

stinkie - sorry for the delay. Posting the error message helped a lot! The problem is, I suspect, that you're installing the eXtreme Styles MOD after you've installed this one. This MOD modifies template.php and the eXtreme Styles MOD replaces template.php, effectively undoing anything any other MOD before it did.

RedTrinity - you have your column names out of order:

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO phpbb_users (user_id, username, user_regdate, user_password,
user_email, user_birthday2, birthday_display, birthday_greeting,
user_birthday,
Should be...

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO phpbb_users (user_id, username, user_regdate, user_password,
user_email, user_birthday, user_birthday2, birthday_display, birthday_greeting,
Looking at my upgrade file, I see the problem is there. I say to do an IN-LINE BEFORE, ADD when an IN-LINE AFTER, ADD should instead be done. This has been fixed. Thanks for bringing it to my attention :)

bamavamp - try replacing this:

Code: Select all

    <!-- BEGIN birthdays -->
      <tr>
       <td class="catHead" colspan="2" height="28"><span class="cattitle">{L_TODAYS_BIRTHDAYS}</span></td>
      </tr>
      <tr>
       <td class="row1" align="center" valign="middle"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_birthday.gif" alt="{L_VIEW_BIRTHDAYS}" /></td>
       <td class="row1" align="left" width="100%">
         <span class="gensmall">{BIRTHDAYS}
         <!-- BEGIN upcoming -->
         <br />{UPCOMING}
         <!-- END upcoming -->
         </span>
       </td>
      </tr>
      <!-- END birthdays -->
with this:

Code: Select all

  <!-- BEGIN birthdays -->
  <tr>
	<td class="catHead" colspan="2" height="28"><span class="cattitle">{L_TODAYS_BIRTHDAYS}</span></td>
  </tr>
  <tr>
	<td class="row1" colspan="2"><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0">
		<tr>
			<td align="center" valign="middle" style="padding-right: 3px"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_birthday.gif" alt="{L_VIEW_BIRTHDAYS}" /></td>
			<td align="left" width="100%">
			  <span class="gensmall">{BIRTHDAYS}
			  <!-- BEGIN upcoming -->
			  <br />{UPCOMING}
			  <!-- END upcoming -->
			  </span>
			</td>
	  	</tr>
	</table></td>
  </tr>
  <!-- END birthdays -->
