Ahh good all my errors are fixed now. Thanks dude!

PS - The groupcp.php being blank was because I forgot a comma... *is embarrassed* :oops:

Hi I just installed this mod with easymod worked great. And it works good in subsilver, but I'm using temples from extremepixels http://www.extremepixels.com/index.php. I can't get the button to show up. Like I said it works and shows up in subsilver. here's the errors I get.

hi timber

it doesn't work because you are using a style whose template is vastly different to subsilver. if easymod makes all changes except for the errors above, than you will have to manually locate where you'll need to make the changes, as the html will look different. it's not usually too difficult since the tokens (ie. where the braces are: { } ) will still be the same.

hi mfrankena

somewhere near line 977 is a:

Code: Select all

'MOD'MOD_XFI_ADD_IMG' => $xfi_add_img,
'MOD_XFI_IMG' => $xfi_img,
'MOD_XFI' => $xfi,
change the top line to:

Code: Select all

'MOD_XFI_ADD_IMG' => $xfi_add_img,
'MOD_XFI_IMG' => $xfi_img,
'MOD_XFI' => $xfi,

Hey,

I got your mod installed in a PHPbb2Nuke application, and it works about 99% flawlessly

The only thing, is that in the user profile, all that shows up for the Xfire field is : Not Xfire: or anything

Everything works great, and the buttons show up in the forum and when i click on my own button i get my profile. The only thing is the name in the Profile editor.

Any help?

Thanks

Tordek

Edit::

I see this in the ACP Profile editor

ICQ Number
AIM Address
MSN Messenger
// This is where Xfire should be listed to
Yahoo Messenger
Website

hi tordek,

i've never used PHPbb2Nuke before, but i imagine the problem could be in your languages file, Profile Edit template file, or the Profile Edit php file.

if you still can't find the problem, could you upload your file so i can take a look at it?

thanks,

sure i'll have at it.

I'll check the profile language file, any idea what i'm looking for?

Edit::

I Figured it out.

Under Lang_main.php in The forums directory I found this

Code: Select all

$lang['ICQ'] = 'ICQ Number';
$lang['AIM'] = 'AIM Address';
$lang['MSNM'] = 'MSN Messenger';
$lang['YIM'] = 'Yahoo Messenger';
So I went back through the install file and found the call for the mod

Code: Select all

$lang['ICQ'] = 'ICQ Number';
$lang['AIM'] = 'AIM Address';
$lang['MSNM'] = 'MSN Messenger';
$lang['XFI'] = 'X-Fire'; // XFire MOD by Chris Weidert
$lang['YIM'] = 'Yahoo Messenger';
Everything is working great.

So if you would like to make this BB2Nuke compatible,

The Include folder is found in the main PHPnuke Directory (so thats where the include files are found)

///
## nuke/includes/usercp_viewprofile.php
## nuke/includes/usercp_register.php
## nuke/includes/usercp_avatar.php
## nuke/includes/functions_validate.php
///

and you might have to add this to your installation file for bb2nuke

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#

Language/Lang_english/Lang_main.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
$lang['MSNM'] = 'MSN Messenger';

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
$lang['XFI'] = 'X-Fire'; // XFire MOD by Chris Weidert

I hope this helps. And i apologize if i stepped on your toes with any code or anything.

Thanks again

Couple of things...

Id say it takes about 30-45 mins to install, not 20.

Unless your heavily familiar with the exact data scripts your meant to be looking for....

Also the very last change doesnt appear to be valid, (where it asks you to look for a particular line - dont have it handy to quote) so I just put in the text is tells you to and it still worked anyway... lol

Final things... BOLD. In you profile and when looking in other user profiles the text for X-Fire isnt in bold, yet all the other titles are. I changed these myself to make it fit in so to speak.

I also removed the x-fire from the thread posts. I didnt want them to appear in the posts, thats what the profile should do, which is why it is there in the first place. Putting it in the threads, just kind of defeats the object to be honest. People can do that just by adding it in there sig....

Appart from that a great mod... Thanks !!!!

:D
Just because it works for you, doesn't mean it's right...

hi ixl,

what theme are you using? it may not be bold in the subSilver theme, and so i wouldn't've bolded it in the instructions if they weren't. if any lines of text are not valid, it's probably due to a non-subsilver style, which the admin is supposed to amend during installation if it's required to do so, and if a non-subSilver theme is present. it's also worth noting, if you have multiple styles installed, you'd have to perform the same instructions for each style. also, the reason i put xfire in the posts is because the rest of the messaging programs have it there too, and my goal was to make this as seemless and fluent as possible with aim, msnm, etc.

where did you get 20 min from? the instructions say 45 minutes for the install.

one thing, however, i have not upgraded this to phpBB2 v 2.0.20 as of yet, so if you are using subSilver, and the developers changed anything relating to this mod, than it's possible some lines of text may not be exact. soon i will have this updated to reflect this.

i'm glad you like it :)
