Frosty1 wrote: Hi,

I seem to be having the same issue that others are having.

Critical Error

FIND FAILED: In file [templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl] could not find:

<td align="center" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="mainmenu">&nbsp;<a href="{U_FAQ}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subBlack/images/icon_mini_faq.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_FAQ}" hspace="3" />{L_FAQ}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_SEARCH}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subBlack/images/icon_mini_search.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_SEARCH}" hspace="3" />{L_SEARCH}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subBlack/images/icon_mini_members.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_MEMBERLIST}" hspace="3" />{L_MEMBERLIST}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_GROUP_CP}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subBlack/images/icon_mini_groups.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_USERGROUPS}" hspace="3" />{L_USERGROUPS}</a>&nbsp;

Now, I do have other mods installed and I'm using subblack as a template but I still need to know how to correct this. If necessary I would go through the code manually to install it, but I need to know how this can be done.

thanks

I have this same problem all these others have... it seems the find strings are too specific.

I'd love to get this installed, but I'm weary of r doing it be hand and guessing at what this huge find string was supposed to come across.. and how many more will there be that fail like this?

Used EasyMod, came up with a lot of "Warning" messages, but in the end installed and works perfectly! Thank you for a GREAT Mod.

I've been trying to figure this whole thing out, and having some trouble...

This is the error I get:

Code: Select all

Updating the Database
INSERT INTO tbd_config(config_name,config_value) VALUES('memberlist_access','0');

Error: Duplicate entry 'memberlist_access' for key 1

Installation Complete
Please, be sure to delete your install directory and this file from your phpBB installation now.

Don't know what that means... pretty new at this...
I copied install folder into main directory, started install as such, got this error, and removed install folder afterwards... no sign of memberlist option in admin config. area.
Any help/instruction/play by play is most appreciated.

thanks!

I followed the instructions and got the message to delete not only my install file but 'contrib' as well. I deleted the install directory as instructed, but do not see the radio buttons in the Configuration page of the Admin Panel.

Did I do something incorrectly?

Francis33 wrote: Hello,
even if I quoted this MOD as excellent, there is an improvement to be done when considering security point of view.
With the current implementation a non-regitered user is still able to see the last registered user and to have a look at his public info.
I think when an administrator makes the choice to hide the memberlist to the non-registered user, the last registered user must be hidden as well.
Your though about this ?

Here is a sort of work around for that issue.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=510466

In addition to this profiles can still be easily viewed by by anonymous users by calling on them one at a time like this

http://www.examplesite.com/forum/profil ... file&u=XXX

where XXX can be any number which is the users profile number. I realize this mod wasnt meant to address this but when I installed it I assumed it would disable viewing of profiles by non-logged in users altogether. But I am very happy with how this mod does work and thank you for it.

General Board Settings.

Question

Post by Hearron »

I posted this in the wrong place, they told me...I use BlueCool and also have the AdvUser Search mod, my question is could someone look at my code, I haven't added the code for this mod yet for the overall_header.tpl, but at the current time it works, Does everything look ok..or does something need to be corrected?
Hearron wrote: I'm suppose to find this code in subSilver,

#
And to Replace it with

Code: Select all

<td align="center" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="mainmenu">&nbsp;<a href="{U_FAQ}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_faq.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_FAQ}" hspace="3" />{L_FAQ}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_SEARCH}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_search.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_SEARCH}" hspace="3" />{L_SEARCH}</a>&nbsp;
						<!-- BEGIN switch_memberlist -->
						&nbsp;<a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_members.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_MEMBERLIST}" hspace="3" />{L_MEMBERLIST}</a>&nbsp;
						<!-- END switch_memberlist -->
						&nbsp;<a href="{U_GROUP_CP}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_groups.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_USERGROUPS}" hspace="3" />{L_USERGROUPS}</a>&nbsp;
But this is what I have there now already :

Code: Select all

<td>
				<div style="margin:0;float:left;width:100%;margin:0;height:34px;background: url(templates/BlueSilver_C/images/menubkg.gif) repeat-x;">
					<div style="backgroun-color:white;margin:0;float:left;width:99%;height:34;text-align:center;">
						<div style="margin-top:4px;">
							<a href="{U_FAQ}" class="mainmenu">{L_FAQ}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_SEARCH}" class="mainmenu">{L_SEARCH}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}" class="mainmenu">{L_MEMBERLIST}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_GROUP_CP}" class="mainmenu">{L_USERGROUPS}</a>&nbsp;
							<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_out -->
							&nbsp;<a href="{U_REGISTER}" class="mainmenu">{L_REGISTER}</a>&nbsp;
							<!-- END switch_user_logged_out -->
							&nbsp;<a href="{U_PROFILE}" class="mainmenu">{L_PROFILE}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}" class="mainmenu">{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" class="mainmenu">{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>
Sorry I don't know how to post like the normal ones I see here, but it works right now how it is...but I'm sure its not totally correct.. or is it?
I'm using BlueSilver with Advance User Search Mod, trying to install one that hides memberslist.[/code]

Joe,

I just installed this mod on a clean system using v2.0.22, and I followed the directions very carefully. After I completed all of the file edits, I ran the db update script, as instructed, without any errors.

When I look in the General Admin > Configuration page, I don't see any of the intended changes. I looked at the source (from the web page), and there is nothing related in there.
Joe Belmaati wrote: Those of you who can't find the option in the ACP Board Config page should take a brief look at your templates/subSilver/admin/board_config_body.tpl file and make sure that the code is actually there.

I went back to look and found that it is all there, exactly as it's supposed to be.

I am working with the subSilver style, but no dice.

What can I do to figure out this issue? What information can I provide to troubleshoot this?

Thanks for your help,

--->Rob

Hi Rob,
if the code is there like it's supposed to be, then surely something should show up in your ACP Config page. I can't imagine how the code could be there without at the very least showing the radio buttons and tablerows..

I agree and that's why I debated posting a question here. I have gone through everything I edited, and checked each edit to make sure a character didn't get dropped when it was being pasted.

I also checked the various solutions you had previously posted to make sure they were not the issue.

Since posting, I changed the db value from 0 to 2 and it is functioning as desired, only the ACP portion is missing.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?
