well I downloaded and installed. Was doing the backup, when this happened:

error 500: Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
:(

Ah well, waiting for the new release then :lol:

Hrm.. would it be possible to contact them to find out what caused it? You don't have to of course, but it would be much appreciated :)

ok well it does give me this. I just don't know where to put it. Let me know and I'll add the code and try again.

you can create your own error logs for debugging PHP Scripts.

Please insert the following code in your PHP script (or create separate file and
and add the code in it. Include the file using "include()")

Code: Select all

   error_reporting(0);
   $old_error_handler = set_error_handler("userErrorHandler");

   function userErrorHandler ($errno, $errmsg, $filename, $linenum,  $vars)
   {
     $time=date("d M Y H:i:s");
     // Get the error type from the error number
     $errortype = array (1    => "Error",
                         2    => "Warning",
                         4    => "Parsing Error",
                         8    => "Notice",
                         16   => "Core Error",
                         32   => "Core Warning",
                         64   => "Compile Error",
                         128  => "Compile Warning",
                         256  => "User Error",
                         512  => "User Warning",
                         1024 => "User Notice");
      $errlevel=$errortype[$errno];

      //Write error to log file (CSV format)
      $errfile=fopen("errors.csv","a");
      fputs($errfile,"\"$time\",\"$filename:
      $linenum\",\"($errlevel) $errmsg\"\r\n");
      fclose($errfile);

      if($errno!=2 && $errno!=8) {
         //Terminate script if fatal errror
         die("A fatal error has occured. Script execution has been aborted");
      }
   }

Nah I think it's a problem with your host's configuration, not the MOD itself. The MOD is working just fine on other servers, but only you and someone else reported a 500 error.

Installed the mod it ran great for a while. now my forum is bigger and I get this error with every backup:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 5714611 bytes) in /usr/home/twin/domains/twinlegion.org/public_html/forums/includes/functions_backup.php on line 71

Thanks for your help.

I see that you worked on fixing this error. Also I wanted to ask how can you restore theese? I have had such problems trying to restore them.

Thanks.

There's yet another new release in the queue so please wait till the new version has released and then we'll see if the errors you reported are still present. Quite a lot of things have been changed so it's likely that they have been fixed :)

Vic: thx for the mod.
BTW, do I need to shutdown the forum(through ACP) before the backup?

Yes, that would be recommended to avoid data corruption :)
