I would like to know if there is a Advanced Group Color Management that is compatible with 2.0.22?

Thanks

When I reply to a topic, the quoted topics on the bottom don't show up.. or, well, to be more specific, they show up with an error. The error is as follows:
Could not obtain topic information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'u.user_group_id' in 'field list'

SELECT u.user_group_id, u.user_session_time, t.topic_title, f.forum_id, f.auth_view, f.auth_read, f.auth_post, f.auth_reply, f.auth_edit, f.auth_delete, f.auth_sticky, f.auth_announce, f.auth_pollcreate, f.auth_vote, f.auth_attachments FROM phpbb_topics t, phpbb_forums f WHERE t.topic_id = 4 AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id

Line : 55
File : topic_review.php

.. this is the code the error seems to be coming from:

Code: Select all

		$sql = "SELECT t.topic_title, f.forum_id, f.auth_view, f.auth_read, f.auth_post, f.auth_reply, f.auth_edit, f.auth_delete, f.auth_sticky, f.auth_announce, f.auth_pollcreate, f.auth_vote, f.auth_attachments
			FROM " . TOPICS_TABLE . " t, " . FORUMS_TABLE . " f
			WHERE t.topic_id = $topic_id
				AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id";
//-- mod : Advanced Group Color Management -------------------------------------
//-- add
			$sql = str_replace('SELECT ', 'SELECT u.user_group_id, u.user_session_time, ', $sql);
//-- fin mod : Advanced Group Color Management ---------------------------------
		if ( !($result = $db->sql_query($sql)) )
		{
			message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Could not obtain topic information', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);
		}
I looked at the ACGM install for the topic_review.php file, and double checked that what I copied in was right.. so I'm not sure what to do next. granted, I am human, and I could have messed it up anyway.

EDIT:: changing the code to

Code: Select all

		$sql = "SELECT t.topic_title, f.forum_id, f.auth_view, f.auth_read, f.auth_post, f.auth_reply, f.auth_edit, f.auth_delete, f.auth_sticky, f.auth_announce, f.auth_pollcreate, f.auth_vote, f.auth_attachments
			FROM " . TOPICS_TABLE . " t, " . FORUMS_TABLE . " f, " . USERS_TABLE . " u
			WHERE t.topic_id = $topic_id
				AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id";
//-- mod : Advanced Group Color Management -------------------------------------
//-- add
			$sql = str_replace('SELECT ', 'SELECT u.user_group_id, u.user_session_time, ', $sql);
//-- fin mod : Advanced Group Color Management ---------------------------------
		if ( !($result = $db->sql_query($sql)) )
		{
			message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Could not obtain topic information', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);
		}
fixed the error, but there still isn't any color showing up.. which i'm guessing comes from the change made here ..

Code: Select all

			$template->assign_block_vars('postrow', array(
				'ROW_COLOR' => '#' . $row_color,
				'ROW_CLASS' => $row_class,

				'MINI_POST_IMG' => $mini_post_img,
//-- mod : Advanced Group Color Management --------------------------------------
//-- here we replaced
//	$poster,
//-- with
//	$color->get_user_color($row['user_group_id'], $row['user_session_time'], $poster),
//-- modify
				'POSTER_NAME' => $color->get_user_color($row['user_group_id'], $row['user_session_time'], $poster),
//-- fin mod : Avanced Group Color Management ----------------------------------
				'POST_DATE' => $post_date,
				'POST_SUBJECT' => $post_subject,
				'MESSAGE' => $message,

				'L_MINI_POST_ALT' => $mini_post_alt)

I'm in the middle of installing this mod, when I refreshed my board to make sure all was correct so far, I got this error:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::lang() in /home/hcosyc04/public_html/testforum/includes/functions.php on line 409
I opened the file in my html editor and looked for line 409 and its this piece of code:

Code: Select all

	include($phpbb_root_path . 'language/lang_' . $board_config['default_lang'] . '/lang_admin.' . $phpEx);
	}
        //-- mod : Advanced Group Color Management -------------------------------------
//-- add
	$colors->lang( );
//-- fin mod : Advanced Group Color Management ---------------------------------
So I wanted to get someone's advice on how I could fix this.

Because if I have to start over from the beginging, I'd rather not have it completely done and have to waste another hour re-installing it, when I could of got the problem fixed and moved on to any other errors I come across.

So thanks for the advice, but it didn't answer my question. :)

Your error is because it is calling for a piece of code you have not installed yet....

Thank you, I decided a few hours ago that I would look into the EasyMOD and use the premodded files instead of doing the instalation by hand, and it installed great, but now something is wrong with my includes/sessions.php file on line 180.

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined function dss_rand() in public_html/testforum2/includes/sessions.php on line 180
I didn't even touch the sessions.php file. Heres a portion of my sessions.php file around line 180. Can someone look at it and tell me whats wrong with it?

Code: Select all

	}

	//
	// Create or update the session
	//
	$sql = "UPDATE " . SESSIONS_TABLE . "
		SET session_user_id = $user_id, session_start = $current_time, session_time = $current_time, session_page = $page_id, session_logged_in = $login, session_admin = $admin
		WHERE session_id = '" . $session_id . "'
			AND session_ip = '$user_ip'";
	if ( !$db->sql_query($sql) || !$db->sql_affectedrows() )
	{
		$session_id = md5(dss_rand());

		$sql = "INSERT INTO " . SESSIONS_TABLE . "
			(session_id, session_user_id, session_start, session_time, session_ip, session_page, session_logged_in, session_admin)
			VALUES ('$session_id', $user_id, $current_time, $current_time, '$user_ip', $page_id, $login, $admin)";
		if ( !$db->sql_query($sql) )
		{
			message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, 'Error creating new session', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);
		}
	}

	if ( $user_id != ANONYMOUS )
	{
		$last_visit = ( $userdata['user_session_time'] > 0 ) ? $userdata['user_session_time'] : $current_time;

		if (!$admin)
		{
			$sql = "UPDATE " . USERS_TABLE . "
				SET user_session_time = $current_time, user_session_page = $page_id, user_lastvisit = $last_visit
				WHERE user_id = $user_id";
			if ( !$db->sql_query($sql) )
			{
				message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, 'Error updating last visit time', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);
			}
		}

		$userdata['user_lastvisit'] = $last_visit;

dss_rand was added to the core phpBB in version 2.0.20. If you used the "pre-modded" files, they would be from 2.0.19. You need to put your includes/functions.php back and edit it by hand.
