Thanks and a great MOD !

Unless you're using some other template/theme, look at the screenshot again. The quick reply box is only as wide as your posts. I don't understand what you mean by 100%.

Edit:
I see what you're saying now...it's 100% of the table cell. I thought you meant literally 100% of the screen or something crazy like that. Simply change the width on that textarea form field and you should be good.
<textarea name="input" cols="70" rows="7" wrap="virtual" style="width:100%" class="post"></textarea>

after changing from 100% to 33% is there a way to align the quick reply box in the middle of the page instead of the left

Thanks

Thanks

What about aligning the <td> of the textarea to "center" or something like that? I'm really just guessing...

Code: Select all

<td align="center">

Sorry if this has already been asked, but when I did this, I noticed:

http://www.synthetic-graphics.com/forum ... .php?t=386

If you look at the bottom, there is 0" alt="Post new topic" align="middle" />, accompanied by an extra Post Reply Button. How can I fix this issue?

You just need to redo that edit to viewtopic_body.tpl....you didn't even get the quick reply button in there.

Easymod can't install this mod on this template, so i installed it by hand, check it twice, looks like everything like in install.txt, but in the end i can see quick reply icon, but can't use it, event press the button, looks like not working image. Anybody experience similiar problems?

Ive added the mod.

The quick reply button is there, when you click it, the quick reply box comes up the top of the screen?

How do you get the quick reply perm down the bottom?

I know this MOD was written for subSilver only, but I would like to install it on my other templates as well. Unfortunately, neither I nor EasyMOD could find the following in "viewtopic_body.tpl" in any template other than subSilver:
<td align="left" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="nav"><a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}"><img src="{POST_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}" align="middle" /></a></span></td>

MOD script line #286 :: FAQ :: Report

Since I have no idea what the code means, I wanted to know what (if anything) I can do. The instructions call for the above code to be replaced with another set of code, can I just insert the new set somewhere? and if so, where?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The code you're searching for includes the buttons "New Topic" and "Post Reply". The mod is trying to insert the "Quick Reply" button beside those two. So wherever those buttons are in your template, that's where you would want to put the "Quick Reply" button.

Also note that the mod puts the "Quick Reply" button next to the BOTTOM set of buttons, not the top. See the screenshots if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Will this mod work on 2.0.19?

***EDIT***

I just tried it and it works fine.

However, I was hoping it would bypass the "Information" screen after posting, at last it doesn't...

How can I get rid of that superfluous screen?

This is an excellent mod!
Though I found one bug with it. :)
## - Attach sig checkbox "state" reflects user profile "Always attach my signature" option

It's similar to this bug that you fixed. Can you apply this change to the "Subscribe to Topic" as well? Since there is also an "Always notify me of replies", If ever turned on, I guess it should always be checked in the quick reply as well regardless if the topic is currently being watched or not.

Tried it here with "Always notify me of replies" turned on, but it is still off by default in your quick reply.

I was playing with the code and I think I fixed it, but I think you should have a look. I'm still a beginner in this stuff:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
viewtopic.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
		if ($can_watch_topic && $is_watching_topic)
		{
			$notify_user = ' checked="checked"';
		}
		elseif (!$userdata['user_notify'])
		{
			$notify_user = '';
		}

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
		if (($can_watch_topic && $is_watching_topic) || $userdata['user_notify'])
		{
			$notify_user = ' checked="checked"';
		}
It also shortens the code as well. Hope it works. :)

Thanks! MOD works with no problems in 2.0.22. Again excellent mod! 8)
