This has been 24 pages of frustration. The same questions posted, answered, and posted again and again.

My problem has been posted several times, but never answered.

First I installed multi-bbc-1-4-0.mod using EasyMod, and validated the installation. Next installed YouTubeMod using EasyMod and validated that install. On my posting screen I have the You Tube button, and it inserts the bb code as it should. When I post it though, I only get the code, it doesn't pull up the player. For example, here is what I get:

Code: Select all

[youtube]http://youtube.com/v/nojWJ6-XmeQ[/youtube]
I can enter the url in a browser and pull up the video, but it doesn't work through phpBB.

Can anyone help?

More information from my last question just above...

When I do a "View Source" on the phpBB page, here is all I see:

Code: Select all

<td colspan="2"><span class="postbody">[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/v/01o9V3DxXeg[/youtube]
It doesn't pull in the Youtube code at all.

Read the files included in the dowload it'll tell you. You'll need ftp access to your host otherwise you won't be able to MOD anything

Doesn't anyone have an idea how to fix this so it pulls in the player, as I describe above?

I believe that may have been where mine did not work.
Reading through previous posts revealed the solution that made mine work.
<td colspan="2"><span class="postbody">[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/v/01o9V3DxXeg[/youtube]

Try replace www.youtube.com with www.youtube.+
Make a backup of the file first of course. I know there are a lot of pages here but it really is worth lookingn through to see if anyone else had the same iissue with the mod. This one was caused by the link being to a .co.uk url
Of course if your YouTube urls that are failing are not to .co.uk then this may not work for you.
As I said before - make a backup just in case.

Jim

Thanks, Jim. I have read this thread through, post by post, twice. A few people have posted this problem, but there hasn't been a solution that I've seen. I'll try your suggestion tonight when I get home.

Thanks!

Installed this mod by hand, have Multi BBcode installed. Never saw the You Tube Tags and now none of my tags work, none of my smiles work and I get no instructions when I hover over a tag. Help!

hi there,
I have installed this mod and it seems to work perfectly, but i have an issue.

i have the flash bbcode mod installed, and when i hit the youtube button he put the [swf width=400 height=300][/swf] tag

if i put manually it works, but that it´s not a solution!

Any ideas to fix this?

You can see the problem here:
