MOD Description: This is an U2U (User to User) Invite mod with a limiting character, as opposed to referral mods where attracting users is the objective.
It adds the option to require registering users to provide codes in order to register. Such codes can be created by users in a gmail-like fashion.

Normally I would have preferred this to be the first reply, but it can't be helped.

The mod is an advanced version of the existing Invitation Only Mod. It was created for the phpbb.de mod contest (credit where credit is due) and implements many feature requests submitted for "invitation only".
Primarily this is the "User invite Users" part. (*cough* gmail *cough*)

This is what people trying to register will see:

The role choosing page for normal users. Notice the new "invite" option in the header.

The main admin config page:

The admin list:

The invite track page:

leads to (among others) to this:

Also, the admin page to create special codes (multi-use, custom code etc.)

I won't reply to installation problems, unless you have at least an installation attempt with easymod to show. The easymod output will give a good hint on where to look for the problems; they will also be easier to reproduce. Last but not least: most likely there won't be any problems, thanks to easymod.

At the moment the mod is not compatible with the Categories Hierarchies mod, due to the changed group system in that mod.

Good to read.

You can set the number of invites available to users on the config page.

It should. I wasn't able to test it properly on a .20, but it does install without problems and seems to work fine.

I can't say whatever or not there might be conflicts with your mods. To the best of my knowledge, the mod has no problems with phpBB 2.0.20. Mixing mods is always tricky and of the mods you listed, I am only familiar with the extreme styles mod (which works fine).

The deletion mod might need some adjustment to keep the database tidy, but that shouldn't be essential. I can't really say, as I don't know that one.

Conflicts aside, the mod does only include the templates for subSilver.

Bottom line: I really can't say. Try a local installation before deploying it live; I think it will work.

Sorry, that won't work. This mod hooks generally in exactly the same places, but it is written differently.
Switching from the plain version to this one, requires a complete removal of the old mod before installing this one; it just has very little code in common and uses slightly different tables, so that a simple upgrade is not viable.
