I am getting very sick of deleting spambot users, so I was almost going to write my own mod to make registering on my forum unique to stop the bots, but thankfully I found this mod before I started!!

Let's hope I don't see any more auto spambots for a good while... :)

I installed this mod because someone highly recommended it. I downloaded and started installing it w/o fully understanding what it does... it hit me when I got to profile_add_body.tpl. Don't think I laughed that hard in awhile.

Anyway good mod because it guided me how to make my own slight changes in security confirmations. Everyone should make theirs unique!

Thanks!

Hi Underhill,

I have a small request, how can I make the the Location: field in registration a required field (*) ?

Thanks.

I am having this problem as well. Error reads..."Parse error: parse error, unexpected ';' in /home2/romykaye/public_html/forum/includes/usercp_register.php on line 138"

Any thoughts?

Man, I'm having almost the same problem:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ';' in /home/escapeto/public_html/forum/includes/usercp_register.php on line 142

Can you post the correct code here?

I see that many guys like me are having the same issue - perhaps this will prevent you from having to answer this question over and over :?

Thanks Underhill!

I changed the question to this.

$lang['Are_u_human'] = 'You agree not to list any website that promotes medicines, pornography or spam?';
$lang['Are_u_human_explain'] = 'If you register to promote any website that is not Equine related you may be banned and deleted.';
$lang['Are_u_human_wrong'] = 'Sorry, but the "agreement not to promote certain websites" under the confirmation code must be answered.';

It is a Horse forum.

I just want to say thanks. My board was just starting to get hit with spam registers from blogspot.com and I wasn't sure how to keep them out. I hope this is the remedy I need.
