Ok two weeks is up since i put the link for the latest RC version and there haven't had a single feedback/report on possible bugs or whatever so i'll assume this last RC version i provided for testing purpose is free of bugs.

Now the link for the RC 1.8.7 will be removed, so those who didn't download it will have wait till the 1.8.8 version (which will be the latest official release) be validated.

P.S. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL THE PSEUDO WYSIWYG FANS!!! :lol:

Ok and the others too! :D

Hi Templater,

First off, thanks for the great work on this mod - I love the idea and the potential :)

I'm afraid I've probably missed out on something very straightforward on a 1.7.1 installation of this mod on phpBB 2.0.21 (that is not really vanilla - but none of the seven files in question have been affected in any serious way). The interface turns out as expected, but all the images are completely dead - i.e., nothing happens onClick of any of the buttons, including the emoticons.

I could link you to the forum I'm talking about, but it requires registration for posting, and I'm not sure if you'd have the time for that :)

So - I'm just wondering if, by any chance, you can imagine where I must have slipped up, and give me a pointer towards correction. I'll completely understand if you cannot see why something like this should've happened - I'm just making sure I explore all possible sources of help :)

Cheers, merry christmas, and thanks again for the great mod and support!

Hi @mama_soap, thanks for the nice comments...

Regarding the problem with your 1.7.1 installation, to be honest would be hard to figure out where the bug is without having a look at the files modified by this MOD.

However, the only possible file where the bug could be is the posting?body.tpl file, for what you mentioned above...

In the JV part of the file look for this line...

Code: Select all

bbtags = new Array('[b]','[/b]','[i]','[/i]','[u]','[/u]','[left]','[/left]','[center]','[/center]','[right]','[/right]','[justify]','[/justify]','[list=]','[/list]','[list]','[/list]','[img=left]','[/img]','[img]','[/img]','[img=right]','[/img]','[url]','[/url]','[code]','
','
','
');[/code]

...and see if it matches with the one in your file.

Well i hope that may fix the bug.

Cheers.

BTW, what other MOD's do you have installed in your forum?, did you installed this MOD (Pseudo WYSIWYG) with EM or manually?

Firstly, its a great mod.
Upgraded and love the new features. Saves a lot of BBcode button mods and looks professional.

Have 1 request please.
Can you include the uploadpicture mod.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=381282

I find this is a great mod however the link button it uses is 'under' this mod. Ive tried many things to get it to work but not too much avail.
Im new at this and ended up inserting it into the header page which activated the mod however it then fail as it wasnt part of post.

Gave it my best over a couple days now. I can get it to work by not including this mod however that is not really an option given the functionality and presentation of this work.

Looking forward and hoping for an acp to include bb's which will solve this nicely.
Thank you.

Hmmm, Great mod! Definitely a very worthy Mod to be integrated with the Pseudo WYSIWYG Mod. :D
It's a shame the zip file stored in the Mod DB is corrupted now. :x

Do you know of other site that hosts this Mod too? I want to integrate this Mod with my Mod before i submit the latest version to the Mod DB. (As soon as i get a no corrupted copy of the upload pic Mod i'll do the neccesary changes and i'll post here the modifications you have to do to make it to work with pseudo WYSIWYG)

Cheers.

Templater, first off, thank you for this wonderful mod. My moderators and I are really enjoying it. it's very efficient and puts the code in the correct places.

i was wondering if there was a way that you could get the URL button to do what the User Friendly URL Input mod does, i find it much easier to add urls with the popup than with the click button.

i see where the code is in the ps_wysiwyg.tpl file, but i'm not sure how to change the onClick stuff, i've tried all kinds of different things to no avail.

Anyhow, thanks again.

Yeah, actually the wizard for URL, IMG's, YouTube and Flash BBcodes were included since version 1.8.0, that version wasn't "validated" due to a unexpected bug so that's why this Mod has not be updated yet.

So since it will take a while before the latest vesrion 1.8.8 be validate i'll post the code for the URL wizard here.

Here is the instruction:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/posting_body.tpl
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
	} else { // Open tags
#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
// URL Prompt Box Added by Pseudo WYSIWYG BBcode Editor
// All tis code will have to be delated when uppgrading this mod to latest version.

  if(bbnumber == 24)
  {
   	 var enterLinkName = prompt('{L_BBCODE_URL_NAME}' , "");
     var enterLink= prompt('{L_BBCODE_URL_ADDRESS}' , "http://");
      if (enterLink!=null && enterLink!="")
		 {
      if (enterLinkName!=null && enterLinkName!="")
			{
                txtarea.value += "[url=" + enterLink  + "]" + enterLinkName + bbtags[bbnumber+1];
             }
			else
			 {
                txtarea.value += bbtags[bbnumber] + enterLink + bbtags[bbnumber+1];
             }
			 txtarea.focus();
              return;
			}
		 else
		 {
            return;
         }

        }
Enjoy it! ;)
