Greetings Wolf,

I just installed user_shield_v1_2_1a on my phpBB 2.0.19 and I get this error.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_IF in /home/gmc475/public_html/bbs/memberlist.php on line 355

Can you offer any help?

Thanks, Luis

Hi LuisMunoz,

There's an edit gone wrong around line 355. Check this snippet:

Code: Select all

'L_GOTO_PAGE' => $lang['Goto_page'])
);
// User Stealth mod - start
Make sure that --> ); is there on it's own line as shown, as that's where I suspect the error to be.

Hope this takes care of it.

Best regards,
Wolf

Many thanks Wolf.

I noticed that the member list will work, to some degree, if the Stealth Mod is disabled. I suppose that defeats the purpose of your mod.

I'll try your suggestion and get back to you.

Best regards.

If you have any problems identifying where the problem might be, after confirming that the above quoted code is there, I can take a look at it if you link me to your memberlist.php taking care to rename it to --> " memberlist.txt ".

Just let me know if that's the case.

Best regards,
Wolf

Wo1f... did you have a chance to look at the code? I know something is wrong because I can not delete the unregistered users via the Memberlist. ARGH!!!

I would be willing to discuss a fee for your code repair assistance on our website. www.gmc475.com/bbs

Let me know.

A fee?? hehe... just send good karma my way. ;)

You're going to have to repackage memberlist.php in a "code" bbtag. I can't review the code the way you pm'ed it to me. While you're at it, you should also include "functions.php", also in it's own "code" bbtag. You can pm me this info. I'll be lurking around this afternoon and will be looking at it as soon as you put it together.

Let's see where that leads us too.

Best regards,
Wolf

Your memberlist.php has been corrected. Your functions.php looks ok.
  • Link expired
1 ] Click on the above link and "Save" to your local computer
2 ] Rename appropriately to " memberlist.php "
3 ] Upload (copy) to your server

Test User Shield thoroughly. Also, which version of phpBB are you using?

Is the link to version 1.2.1 listed on the first page of this thread the latest version or do I need to enter another version number in the address line for downloading?

Thanks!

PS
I'm on dialup & I searched the last several pages for this info but didn't see anything on it. If it's there, please forgive me.

Yes, the link located on the 1st page, 1st post is the latest one. There is also a new version which will be available as soon as MOD submittals are accepted by the MOD team. This could take some time though (my guesstimate would be ... approx. 2 months).

To download the MOD from the first page, take a look at " IMPORTANT: How to securely download MODs while the database is unavailable " at the top of this page.

If you need anything else, just let me know.

Best regards,
Wolf ;)

Thank you very much for the info!

I read your post about you working on an updated version the other day. The version number you mentioned in it is what made me think that there might be a link to a newer version than what's on the first page.

I'm just getting my feet wet in setting up a forum and have been reading about and downloading several MODS that someone who has a forum hosting service recommended to me (Can I say, "Thanks eAmped!" here?).

I'll probably be pulling out what little hair I have left in a few days, when I go to install the MODS. It's a comfort to know that there are so many wonderful people like you here that's so willing to help and devote so much time in MODS, so freely.

Thanks again, Wolf!

Have a great day!
HH
