I get the same error but I do not see in the install instructions anything about a Constants file.

I believe the error is due to me running phpBB 2.0.17. I think the delete code is different. Am I correct? Do you have a version that will run with phpBB 2.0.17?

great mod but have a problem

Post by gibsongk55 » Wed Jan 10, 2007 2:32 am

This mod is great. I have followed the instructions exactly. But when i go to the memberlist it does not show the member name only the "X" in the place. If i mouseover the "X" it will show the member name.

Any idea how to fix? I am using phpbb version 2.0.19

Thanks,

Gibsongk55

The constant file isn't related to this MOD, but it has to do with the phpBB upgrades. the SESSIONS_KEYS_TABLE is added during 2.0.17 => 2.0.18.

If you don't want to upgrade (which isn't recommended at all) you may delete below code from delete_user.php

Code: Select all

		$sql = "DELETE FROM " . SESSIONS_KEYS_TABLE . "
			WHERE user_id = $user_id";
		if ( !$db->sql_query($sql) )
		{
			message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'Could not delete auto-login keys for this user', '', __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);
		}

Ok, here's another question...

Is there any mod out there that will allow the forum moderators to delete members without actually being able to delete the site admin?

Thank you so much,

Angela

You could probably adjust this one to do this. Add to an if statement somewhere something along the lines of " && delete_user_level != admin" (but of course using the correct syntax).

I'm saying that I would use this mod and tweak the code ever so slightly to protect the admins. I reckon its a 1 line change.

How can we find the exact code along with the exact place to put it?

Yes, I would like to know this as well. It's too easy to delete the site Admin by mistake...especially if more than one person is helping delete spammers.

I've installed the MOD but I'm getting the message: 'Sorry, but no such user exists.' when trying to delete a user. Did I miss something in the MOD instructions?

I installed using easyMOD, why do admins and mods show like they do? (see below) Regular users (test_user) are fine :?: It shows up just with the delete icon in the post and in the viewing profile page. Just have the problem on the memberlist page :? /3I§ON is set as admin and [M_M&M] ADMIN is set as Mod & admin.

Normal people cant see it but its annoying as hell to me :P
