"Still using tables? Well.. suffer!"

Ok, so the iframe height problem is all because of tables. With divs it works like a charm..
So, off I go to learn div :)

& much thanks for the brilliant mod!

ps. If anyone can still elaborate on the php include subject, im interested

Sorry, not THAT elaborate.. :)

Well anyway I managed to construct the page with divs and by having the iframe width & height 100% it simply shapes to any size I set the div to. Also I wanted the invisible borders around the news removed, to do this I simply added these three fellas in the iframe string:
frameborder="0" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0"

Now if I could get it to show only the date, month & year of the announcement. Without the time?

Ok so I am real new to all this and I found easymod to help alot but I am kinda stuck here

'Do it yourself' instructions need to be executed by you manually, EasyMOD can not perform these actions
Now you can add http://linktoforum/announcements.php into a frame on you website.
Use for this <iframe src="http://linktoforum/announcements.php" width="70%" height="100%"></iframe>

what is this trying to say? I am a tool I know just not sure what to do..

Thanks

and also anyone know a good shout box or something to?

Thanks again

If you want to add the announcement page (http://www.yoursite/forum/announcement.php) INTO a page on your forum, you have to add this code into the appropriate .tpl file of the template you are using.

So just as an example, if you would like to add it to the bottom of your index.php you would add this code (with any texteditor) to the bottom of the file: ..yourforum/templates/thetemplateyouuse/index_body.tpl

My sincerest apologies if this has been asked and/or answered already, but I don't intend to read six pages of replies. Basically, I have only a relatively small knowledge of PHP and even less understanding of MySQL (I've read the tutorials on http://www.tizag.com and that's pretty much it), so I can't really decipher and grok the code right now. My question is, is there any way to simplify the announcements.php page so that it only displays the topic title and last poster on a single line? I basically want it to look like this:

Not being able to browse trough 6 pages of replies in 10minutes, sounds really respectful for the creator of this mod, who maybe put a bit more time on it.

What you want to do, does not require any php or mysql skills, what so ever. The output of every php file is defined in their own layout file (the files ending with .tpl), one came with this mod. Just remove what you dont need or move things around as you like.. If you dont know any html, use a graphical editor (like dreamweaver for example).

This mod was exactly what I was looking for. It was super easy to install and configure and seems to be doing a super job displaying current forums news on my regular site. Thanks a lot for the great effort in creating and releasing this!

Do you know of a mod that can do this? That's really what I'm looking for as well.
