We have installed this mod on our website, the page did run cute news which is why it's a PHP extension, check it out.

http://www.gungho-fighters.com/news.php

But we have found a little problem and was after some advice.

The exported data stretches to the size of the table set, we've set ours to what suites our site best, and if you view under IE it stretches the IFRAME and fits it to the table, but under Fire Fox it just stays as a little box at the top of the Table.

Any ideas ?

Try to use

Code: Select all

<object style="width: 70%;height: 100%;" data="http://linktoforum/announcements.php" type="text/html">
   </object>
instead of the frames :wink:

Didn't test, but should work

i try to install it in my website, but i sems to doesn't work.

i made all the things listed in the .mod with some modifications

#-----[ COPY ]------------------------------------------
copy root/announcements.php to announcements.php
copy root/fetchposts.php to fetchposts.php
copy root/news_body.tpl to templates/wow/news_body.tpl
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
language/lang_Spanish/lang_main.php on
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
$lang['Message'] = 'Message';
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
//Start Another News Mod
$lang['Comments'] = 'Comentarios';
$lang['View_Comments'] = 'Ver comentarios';
$lang['Post_Comments'] = 'Postear comentario';
$lang['Home'] = 'Noticias';
$lang['Read_Full'] = 'Completa';
//End Another News Mod
#-----[ DIY INSTRUCTIONS ]------------------------------------------
Now you can add http://linktoforum/announcements.php into a frame on you website.
Use for this <iframe src="http://linktoforum/announcements.php" width="70%" height="100%"></iframe>
#-----[ SAVE/CLOSE ALL FILES ]------------------------------------------

and i made a blank php page with the iframe, and it apear only with the template background color and the footer
this is the link http://www.ccorpse.es/v2/foro/news.php

I recommend removing the iframe and putting it in a DIV tag. Iframes do not display the same on all browsers, and in some are not supported all that well. DIV pritty mjuch is and will look the same on all browsers.

I meant for the mod author to rewrite the mod and make it in a DIV tag rather then an iframe for the above reasons.

Retry all actions, then: upload the news_body.tpl also to the subSilver template root, and check if that works ;)

Please don't add 13 users in a multi msn tab to show your MOD url.
If it is a good mod we'll see it in time.

good luck developping.
