If this happens, then I advise installing the MOD Better captcha next to this MOD.

I did that, and I haven't had any spambot registrations since then (Nov. 2006). Note: the MOD Better captcha doesn't stop all spambots on it's own either.

I use this MOD with Textual Confirmation:

and I have had no problems with BOTS getting through.

Does MOD Textual Confirmation on its own not stop all bot registrations either?

The Textual Confirmation stopped bots 100% but more security isn't bad... :D The Textual Confirmation stopped the fools too.

I have developed an issue. Today I received an email from a person that said that they were recognized as a bot? So I went in to have a look and for some reason, the red spam bot line telling folks not to enter anything below is gone. I double and triple checked the codes and all is wright.

Any ideas?

Please let me know!
Can anyone help me with this? I installed a profile mod a\called easyUCP and I'm wondering if the edits for the usercp_register.php could have killed just that one part of the mod? As I said above, I have checked the edits and there perfect. Could there be a data base issue? If there is, what should I look for using phpmyadmin?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

This mod is working well for me. However, I noticed that my board now says "We have 0 registered users." I'm not saying it is the result of this mod. I just noticed it after I performed the mod. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks Martijn, for this useful mod
i've been using Orion (heavily moded phpbb) with inbuilt ctracker, though crackertracker blocks the attmepted postings by spam bots, this one has just stoped them from being registered, great idea, and simple stuff

by the way, is it possible to make the email system a text or databased log system which can be accessed from the ACP

once again thanks :)

You have making a mistake when you add the language entry on the line ; 1028
it would be wise to check the language entrys what you must add on this mod on the file language/lang_english/lang_main.php .

Thanks Raimon I went back and checked the language and I was missing // in a couple of places.

I hope this Mod keeps all those bots away.
