The SQL queries above should have fixed the whole board. If this is not the case, then I am afraid wrong values are being written into the tables when posts are made / deleted. This means that the MOD was installed incorrectly. Most likely editing error.

I said it million times before and I will say it again. Please use EasyMOD instead of manual editing.
It is REALLY easy and error free.

If the MOD actually worked for you and stopped working after you changed something, how can I help you?

By the way, MySQL 5.0.37 has a number of very serious bugs! Try upgrading MySQL to the current 5.0.x version and run SQL queries that I posted above to reset the approval counters.

I am afraid, this is the only help I can provide at this time.

Firstly, 5.0.37 is NOT the latest 5.0.x MySQL version. However, I am not sure if upgrading MySQL will solve the problem you experience.

If you have a chance, setup fresh phpBB 2.0.22, EasyMOD and Approval MOD (using EasyMOD) on a separate installation. If THAT combination does not work, then we could have a problem. Otherwise I cannot help you because my installation works fine and many other people also using completely ok.

Where do I find the latest version of "Easy Mod" ? Sounds like what I need. I still haven't installed Approval MOD, maybe this is what I've been waiting for. But when I searched the database for "Easy MOD" what I got was this,

http://area51.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic ... 17&t=20388

...which says something about [OBSOLETE] so I don't think that's the latest version...

I'll keep looking, but maybe somebody can steer me straight?

We don't let users create threads at all to reduce clutter on our board, and I have this one topic that constantly devolves into 'chatter' thus reducing the overall usefullness of the information contained therein.

So the end result is that I have a TOPIC that I want to have approvals on. Will this work?

Thanks!

EDIT: Never mind, it's all taken care of. Mods please delete post. Thanks.

Unfortunately not. Approval options are valid only per forum, not per topic.
The only thing you could do is create a "chatter" forum with the approval ON and move all the threads that have gone "too chatty" into it.
