News update: automation testing is in final stages, once that's done the 2.0 release of this mod will be released to the mod team for review. Looks like 2 days until then.

Update: The mod is finished and ready for submission, so I'm waiting until the phpbb team allows for new submissions.

What language parts are missing for you? Did the mod successfully complete (did you use easymod?) Also, did you update from a previous version or was this a fresh install? The language file changes were all normally packed into the mod file itself and should work.

#1: manually installed what looks like an update 1.2.0 - that has not had any previous versions installed and cannot find.

Oops, the "update" mod file is only for users of versions 1.0 and 1.1, it only contains the language addons that weren't in those versions (it added a few new timeframes to the list that you can select). If you want to add the full version of 1.2, that one contains all of the language file changes. The mod file in the "contrib" folder is the wrong one to use.

Uh, it should be in the main folder. Let me check to see if something got messed up with the download when the phpbb site went poof a few weeks ago.

Just checked, the download seemed fine. The mod file in the main folder is correct and has all of the language files needed. they are:

// Expire Unactivated Accounts By Timeframe Mod addition
$lang['expire_account_title'] = 'Unactivated Account Expiration System';
$lang['expire_explain'] = 'Select the timeframe beyond which you would like to expire unactivated accounts. Any accounts registered before the selected time amount will be deleted from the database. Warning: This cannot be undone once submitted.';
$lang['expire_choose'] = 'I would like to expire all unactivated accounts that were registered before:';
$lang['expire_select_value'] = 'Select Timeframe';
$lang['expire_one_hour'] = 'One Hour ago(~immediate)';
$lang['expire_one_day'] = 'One Day ago';
$lang['expire_one_week'] = 'One Week ago';
$lang['expire_one_month'] = 'One Month ago';
$lang['expire_three_months'] = 'Three Months ago';
$lang['expire_six_months'] = 'Six Months ago';
$lang['expire_one_year'] = 'One Year ago';
$lang['accounts_expired'] = 'Accounts were expired properly.';
$lang['noexpired_accounts'] = 'No timeframe was selected, no Accounts were expired.';
$lang['return_expired_accounts'] = 'Click %sHere%s to return to Unactivated Account Expiration System';

Also make sure that you move the .tpl file in the root folder to the admin area of the template you are using as the template on your message board.

That download link is for the 1.1.0 version, http://www.phpbb.com/files/mods/expire_ ... _1_2_0.zip would be better.

Ok - yeah - this TOTALLY rocks... would be nice to be able to make it auto expire anyone immediatly so that no new accounts can be made w/o admin creating them in the admin area... just a thought - very cool and usefull approach to the solution! Hope to see continued development of this mod.

Actually, the 1.2.0 release is a full release without the need for a previous one. If you install 1.2.0 from scratch it will install the full version. If you had previously installed 1.0.0 or 1.1.0 you could use the updater mod script (in the contrib folder) that's included to simply update to 1.2.0 if you wanted.

The 2.0.0 version of this mod (which added automation) has been done for almost 2 months now. Unfortunately the phpbb.com website's mod database has also been down for that length of time and has no projected return time. As a result I have decided to release the 2.0.0 version of this mod from my website as an open beta.

If anyone would like to participate in this extended beta testing of the mod (which has been running on my forum website this entire time without an issue) please proceed to my plugin/mod website AWSOM.org and download the plugin. Please note that this version has not been certified by the phpbb.com team, but I'm reasonably certain that it is free from major bugs. If you have any feedback on the 2.0.0 version please use my support forum at Harknell.com since the 2.0.0 version is not an official release here yet.
