Hi Wicher,

Is it possible to allow users to post unlimited new threads in the same forum.

Or is that covered in your adaptation of this mod?

Try Journal or Support Forums
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=471752

When you set a forum to be a support forum, users can make multiple topics, in which other users cannot reply.

I get an empty pull-down box in the admin panel when creating a forum, where I'm guessing the personal topic option should be. Any ideas on where I messed up?

Are you using multiple languages and / or templates?
They need to be editted all.

No, I'm not. What file/part of the code controls that pull-down box? I don't know enough about the code to spot it. I'm guessing it is probably the admin_forums.php file? I went from the backup and redid it.

My gues is that you editted language/lang_english/lang_main.php wrong or forgot to edit it at all.

If thats not the case you should look in one of these files:
## - admin/admin_forums.php
or
## - templates/subSilver/admin/forum_edit_body.tpl

Hmm...I redid all the files again and still coming out with the same problem. Thanks for trying to help, though.

I checked your files but found nothing wrong in them.
My gues now is that you forgot to upload one of the files or, in some cases it just did not get overwritten by your ftp program.
Try renaming the files on your server and re upload the new editted files again and see if that helped.

If that does not help, you could considder installing "Journal or Support Forums", which in fact can do the same and more.
You can find that version at my modforum in topic: http://www.detecties.com/modforum/viewtopic.php?t=54
