Awesome! I guess this is like "dates for humans". A screenshot would be great!

The date format is similar with the functionnality available in Olympus (with or without relative days: yesterday and today). A custom option allows the registered user to add a custom date format (as in a vanilia phpbb).
author notes wrote: To show the date while using "today" and "yesterday" as relative days, select a date format combined with [Relative days] option.

This MOD will replace the generic time zone settings, with a more descriptive drop-down list.

Very cool! Does the "custom" box pop up using javascript? And if so, do you have a backup for users who have it disabled?

if JavaScript is disabled, there isn't custom field, only the drop-down list which contains some basic formats. But, nowadays, it's useful on a lot of websites to enable JavaScript in the browser.

Sure, it's useful, but having a backup is always nice imo. Enough discussion! :lol: It's up to you anyway.

Hi,

Thanks for this great mod, it's much better with relative times and a dropdown list :mrgreen:
I fixed a tiny "bug" though, index "Your last visit" was not forced non-relative.

In includes/functions.php, we have :

Code: Select all

function create_date($format, $gmepoch, $tz, $forcedate = FALSE) {
       [...]
       return format_date($gmepoch, $format, $forcedate);
}
And in admin/page_header_admin.php and includes/page_header.php (diff format) :

Code: Select all

-       'S_CURRENT_TIME' => sprintf($lang['Current_time'], create_date($board_config['default_dateformat'], time(), $board_config['board_timezone'])),
+       'S_CURRENT_TIME' => sprintf($lang['Current_time'], create_date($board_config['default_dateformat'], time(), $board_config['board_timezone'], 1)),
Thanks again ;)
