dvdd127 wrote: Then again, I think fixing the second issue might have also fixed the first issue too. Since the Sig box was not supposed to be there the MOD was prolly just doing what it should. It seems that the users who were having issues signing up were filling out the Signature field... which was not supposed to be there. which means the users must have been filling it out on registration which would lead to the error message.

Does that make any sense.. and is my line of thinking correct??

Are you running 1.1.02?

You should upgrade to 2.0.8 ASAP. :)

But you may be correct. If it is supposed to be hidden and it was filled out they will get that error.

Please read the third post on the first page of this thread to get the latest version. ;)

As for getting 2.0.8 to work with Signatures control, you will have to do something similar to what has been done there, except that code has been moved to includes/anti_spam_acp.php IIRC. :)

Its not exactly the same...

Actually, looking back at the code now, its not the same at all and is 500x more confusing if you don't know what it's doing. :P

You might just want to have Anti-Spam ACP ignore the signature field and leave the settings up to Signatures Control.

The easiest way would be:

Open
includes/functions_anti_spam_acp.php

Find
'sig' => $HTTP_POST_VARS['signature']

Delete it

Find
'sig' => 'Signature'

Delete it

Find
'sig' => 'user_sig'

Delete it

Then remove the template switch in profile_add_body.tpl over the signature field

That will make Anti-Spam ACP ignore the signature field. :)

Unfortunately the signature was the MAIN reason I installed Anti-Spam ACP. is there another way to make both work together?

Yes, it is possible...

But I don't have the time to explain it unfortunately.

Well, I will wait to update to 2.0.8 then until you or someone else can explain to me how to do that.
Thanks

My users now can't modify their own signature :)
