MOD Description: This simple MOD will add a message to the top of your forum that is only visible to guests. The message says "You are browsing the forum as a guest. Log in or register to access additional features." The words "log in" and "register" are direct links to the login and registration pages.

Tested on phpBB Version: 2.0.22

I had to play with the colors a little but otherwise this was exactly what I needed to get the guests to pay attention and register.

after i installed this mod...if i have any unread posts and i log out, when i log back in it shows all posts as though i already read them...any ideas?

Hi DeathsDesign,

That behavior is not related to this MOD - it's just the way phpBB works! Whenever you log out, phpBB marks all posts as read. If you log out here at phpBB.com and log in again, you should see the same thing, although phpBB.com is active enough that you'll still probably see some posts (from the last 1-2 minutes) marked as new. :wink:

Hello apeee,

I intend to create new versions of most of my MODs for phpBB3. I haven't decided exactly when I'm going to do so, though. I need to look a bit more into the modding process for phpBB3 first. Since this is my only MOD with requests for a phpBB3 version, it'll be one of the first to get an update. ;)
