Perhaps I'm missing something obvious, but after installing the file 'mod-vc' into the admin/mods folder and checking Easy Mod in the Admin Panel I'm not seeing this mod show up at all, even after following the directions supplied in the download.

I just updated the forum software....could this be the culprit? Am I putting the folders in the right directory?

That simple: don't use easyMOD to install this mod: simply follow the directions. Take also the time to read the FAQ post.

Don't think you understood my previous post.

I installed it manually first and tried to use Easy Mod second.

It still doesn't show up in the Admin Panel or registration panel.

Suggestions? Besides putting the folders in the mods directory, what else needs to be done.....the supplied text file is rather bleak on the details.

Hi, since installing the mod I can see the CAPTCHA but on finishing the registration details I get this message:

Code: Select all

Could not insert data into im_prefs table

DEBUG MODE

INSERT INTO arcticcam_im_prefs (user_id, themes_id) VALUES (253, 4)

Line : 677
File : usercp_register.php
The account gets created on the site but no activation e-mail gets sent.

Prior to installing users could register fine.

Any ideas guys??

Cheers,
Stu.

*_im_prefs is not a table linked to this mod, so it has to come from something else, maybe a local script version that wasn't matching your online script version (im probably stands for instant messanger, if this can help).

I had prilian installed which is an instant messenger but people have joined up without trouble since it was installed.

Hmm... back to the drawing board.

Hello Ptirhiik,

Thank you for the great mod..it saves me alot time :).

However, since some of the picture combinations are hard to read, is it possible (and how) to add the following under the picture:

If you cannot read the picture click here to refresh. (and refresh giving you a new GD pic).

I hope you understand what i mean.

Thanks!

This mod is really nice work :!:

Registering is a bit difficult, tho - as mentioned before - but a few changes solves that in most cases.

------------------

harisk :

open /language/lang_main.php and find:

Code: Select all

$lang['Confirm_code_impaired']

Sorry, I kind of misread your intention.

Refreshing the image only - like in VB Boards - is kinda difficult but instead you can provide a link in the language.php file which points to the registration page again. But this is, of course, not as good as what you want..
But if s.o. has the time for coding the image only I would be also interested.
