[11/02/07] Last Visit

Post by Extensions Robot » Thu Jan 18, 2007 12:05 am

MOD Name: Last Visit
Author: Debillus
MOD Description: This MOD adds an extra column to the memberlist, next to the 'joined'
column, showing the date of a users last login.
It also adds 'Last Visit' as an option to the sorting drilldown.

If a user has chosen to hide hos or her online status, the date will be
replaced with 'n/a'. Otherwise the date of the last registered login will
be shown, or 'Never' if no login has been recorded.
The 'n/a' restriction doesn't apply to administrators and moderators.

You can use this modification to sort out inactive users and users that
never logged in after registering (typically spambots).

MOD Version: 1.0.0
Tested on phpBB Version: 2.0.22

Just curious on the difference between this mod and the following which provides the same functionality.

The newly released MOD is more compact to the other one. Here, the Last Visit is only shown on the memberlist (adds a new column). It won't be shown on any other areas. The other mod includes the last visit in the Group CP, profile, and in the viewtopic.

What's interesting about this MOD is that it hidden users get an N/A value on their last visit if your not a moderator/admin, not sure if the other MOD covers that.

It's a great lightweight MOD. :)

Here is a tiny translation to Russian:

Code: Select all

$lang['Last_Visit'] = 'Последний визит';
$lang['Never'] = 'Никогда';
$lang['n/a'] = 'n/a';
$lang['Sort_Last_Visit'] = 'Последний визит';

Excellent mod! It working fine for me.

Thanks Debillus!

Here is a tiny translation to Bulgarian:

Code: Select all

$lang['Last_Visit'] = 'Последно видян';
$lang['Never'] = 'Никога';
$lang['n/a'] = 'n/a';
$lang['Sort_Last_Visit'] = 'Последно видян';
Is it possible add this into user profile and usergroups too?

I used easymod to install this, and everything installed correctly until the last line, when it said this:

Code: Select all

Critical Error

FIND FAILED: In file [templates/subSilver/memberlist_body.tpl] could not find:

<td class="catBottom" colspan="8" height="28">&nbsp;</td>

MOD script line #218 :: FAQ :: Report
Forums still work fine, but there's no last seen date. In the memberlist_body.tpl file, I have this:

Code: Select all

<td class="catBottom" colspan="5" height="29"> {S_HIDDEN_FIELDS}
		<input type="submit" name="delete" class="liteoption" value="{L_DELETE}" />
		&nbsp;
		<input type="submit" name="move" class="liteoption" value="{L_MOVE}" />
		&nbsp;
		<input type="submit" name="lock" class="liteoption" value="{L_LOCK}" />
		&nbsp;
		<input type="submit" name="unlock" class="liteoption" value="{L_UNLOCK}" />
	  </td>
I changed it manually, and it still doesn't work, so I changed it back to 5 and 29.

All that the failing line 218 does is making sure that the widht of the column footer matches the number of columns. The code section you quote is not part of the phpBB package so I am assuming that you have some sort of MOD installed that has already made changes to your version of the file.

Standard :

Code: Select all

	<!-- END memberrow -->
	<tr>
	<td class="catBottom" colspan="8" height="28">&nbsp;</td>
Revised :

Code: Select all

	<!-- END memberrow -->
	<tr>
	<td class="catBottom" colspan="9" height="28">&nbsp;</td>

Hi Debillus

This is a very useful mod for me but I am not sure that it is working properly. Maybe I am missing something. Perhaps you could explain.

I installed the mod, seemingly, without any problems. The column in the members list is there and it details the date users last visited.

However, today while I was logged on to my forum I noticed that two users (who had not visited for some time) where also logged on at the same time as myself. However, the date they last visited did not update to today’s date. Can you think of any reason why this would be so?

Yeah, what is weird is that my own account updates no problem.

Try using user_session_time instead of user_lastvisit.

Where? In memberlist.php? :?
Maybe you are right... :? I test it. Thanks whodat63!
