And although your template will not be causing the SQL problem, it might not show the SQ Q&A correctly. Switch to subSilver and see if its there and let me know

First check your file edits.

Have you any other MODs installed? Especially ones that would affect the users profile?

OK I have just checked your site and the MOD is working perfectly on the subSilver template

To make it work on your default, do the following

## back up the files first. Just in case ##

Copy

templates/subSilver/admin/board_config_body.tpl

templates/subSilver/profile_add_body.tpl

to

templates/your_default_template/admin/board_config_body.tpl

templates/your_default_template/profile_add_body.tpl

and check it works

A I have only tested it on 2.0.21 and later. It should work on earlier versions, but you are better off up dating your forum first, then install this MOD
It works on my phpBB 2.0.17 I've just installed and it works great !

I'm trying to install the security question mod. This is my first time installing any mod. I was very careful cutting and pasting and rechecking, but feel I must have deleted something because when you register it stops at the registration page. Can anyone help? I think I realize next time it might be a good idea to have what I want to change copied somewhere on my desktop so I can review it to see what I might have made a mistake on. Now I suppose my only recourse is to redo the entire blog?

Thanks in advance.

Did you make backups before you applied my MOD? If so, replace them, and then try applying the MOD again.

If you didnt make any backups, then download a fresh copy of the forum software, and upload the 6 files that have been modified.

Either way you will be starting with the forum as it was.

Re: security_question
Tried to upload this mod twice. It is my first time working with this, and I have tried to be very careful. However when done registration is now locked, I don't know what I have done wrong.

Also, I have come to this thread several times at it says locked. I am not sure how I can get into it now.

James,

Let me go over this again, I followed the directions on you mod, but the first step we could not figure out how to do so we ran the SQsql.php that you suggested to someone else. We were not sure what that changed in our files so we were not sure how to delete it and start over again. When it did not work we took the files that we changed down, minus the one in the firs step, put up clean files and tried it all over again. I was afraid to do a total new install of phpbb forum as I thought it might change my content on my forum.

That is where we are now. I can see my question in the admin panel but when trying to register the register page is blank. HOpe this helps. These bots are killing my new forum and I am afraid to advertise it until I get all of this taken care of, unfortunately I have a national article coming out in a few weeks so I must have it all fixed by then.

Thanks again for your help.
