Lefty can you add images and/or animations? In other words I may want to wish someone happy bday with a cake that has lit (animated) candles or whatever.

Thank you!!

it supports bbcode so [img]yourlinktotheanimatedbirthdaycake.gif[/img] should work without a problem. :D

I have some other small issues to resolve that are priority but I do plan to install this IF one other question is resolved by you. If I have a private forum that no one can see inside of until they log-in, can this be applied to this MOD as well? I ONLY want the registered users to see it, no one just happening on the forum's index page. If you've already answered this, please forgive me. Honest mistake.

At the moment, you have the option to show the announcement to everyone, registered members, moderators or admins.
Image
you also have the possibility to show a separate announcement to guests if the regular announcements are set to be shown to registered users or higher permissions.

I did an add-on at some stage that allowed you to show the announcement to a selected group but have not included this anywhere or uploaded for validation.

Alrighty then Lefty. One issue resolved that I had small problems with and one more to go before adding this. EM here I come with this MOD. :D Haven't added a new MOD in a long time so this will be the first one since.... and in '08. Will report back to you once all done or... not...

After "installing", i've no problem with preview in ACP. However, after I turned on the announcement, nothing happened on my index page. I've checked thru' the index and index_body but can't seems to find the problem.

Anybody can enlighten me?
Hi, the announcements are turned on and the edits to index.php and index_body.tpl were made and uploaded? If you use other styles you will need to make changes to those tpl files as well.

Thanks for the reply. Anyway....what other tpl files do I need to change.

it is just the index_body.tpl but you need to edit that one in all the templates you have.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH, it looks so pretty. I am so happy that after some tweaking, it is working grand on 2.2.23 or whatever the upgraded version of 2.2 is. (laughs)

NICE MOD Lefty, 'you done did good' as I say. Thanks loads for your time to create and assist with it!!

Now, can you work on a version of Multi-quote for 2.2?? SMILES and take care!!

Ok, have a question Lefty. You know how there's the box around the actual announcement? Where can I edit/remove that box? I'm testing but right now it is too wide BUT... I want to see if it will look better with NO box as well. Just tinkering.

Thank you again!!
