Depends what FTP software you're using, may also depend if you have it in ASCII or Binary mode for uploads.. it should upload though, somehow.

Did you leave this line

Code: Select all

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" /><param name="WMode" value="Transparent" /></object>
as one line or did you put a linebreak in it?

hi,

once line - as i said, it works with firefox, just not IE

this is a set list on the file from vi :

<tr>$
<td class="row1" align="center" valign="middle" rowspan="2"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="templates/subSilver/relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" /><param name="WMode" value="Transparent" /></object></td>$
<td class="row1" align="left" width="100%"><span class="gensmall">{TOTAL_POSTS}<br />{TOTAL_USERS}<br />{NEWEST_USER}</span>$
</td>$
</tr>$

I love it.

Works perfectly for me, in IE and Firefox.

Huge thanks for making such a cool feature :D

mine:
data="templates/subSilver/relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" />
Those two shouldn't be different - if relog.swf is in the root directory, data="" and value="" should both point to relog.swf.

I´m glad you like it Dellsystem,

And to be honest MIne, it´s working fine for me too in all browsers and I don´t know why it doesn´t for you. :cry:
Maybe it´s a browser configuration problem?

No it isn't.
Mine didn't follow the instructions!

It is this line pointed out bu dellsystem:

Code: Select all

data="templates/subSilver/relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" />
that is the problem.

It should be:

Code: Select all

data="relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" />
and offcourse upload relog.swf to root.
I am done with phpBB

I see,

A matter of not following the installation instructions.

That certainly can´t be blamed on their complexity, I´d say.

Thanks for pointing that out Stokerpiller. :P

nice one stokerpiller, i did actually mean to place the flash where i had, rather than in the root and thought that i'd got away with it with firefox working ok. should have tried it in the root before posting that's all i guess ... anyhow, its working in IE now, cheers

There are literally tons of flash clocks available on the www, search for flash clocks.

A nice site where I found the one this MOD uses is this one. ;)

Excellent! I did do a search for flash clocks, but most of what I found were not suited to this type of application. The link you provided is a good source for .swf files, which can be used with your mod info.

This Mod Works 100%

But Please use this code instead of the default as the clock will appear in the table.

Code: Select all

 <td class="row1" align="center" valign="middle" rowspan="3"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="relog.swf" width="80" height="80"><param name="movie" value="relog.swf" /><param name="WMode" value="Transparent" /></object></td>
