Ok, I uploaded all the changed files for version 2.3.13 from vers. 2.3.12.

I did a test attachment and everything seemed to work but...
When I go to the attachment cp or management in the admin section I still see Attachment Mod version 2.3.12.

I looked at the constants.php in the attach_mod/includes folder and at the bottom of it, it says

Code: Select all

define('ATTACH_VERSION', '2.3.13');
Something has to be very wrong if it is not grabbing this variable. Where is it getting the old info from?

I cleared my browser's cache. Still no change. Reflects the prior version.

Styles?

Post by Colin Kaminski »

I notice that this mod changes the subSilver style .tpl files as well as adding some new ones. Is it posible to make this work with another style? I am using bbman that has been modified for my uses.

Sure, I am using Helius style by CyberAlien.

You just have change where put the code. But using the subsilver instructions should give you a good enough idea so that you have no problem.

After upgrading to phpBB 2.0.15 and The Attach Mod 2.3.13, I get the following when I go to Admin Panel --> Attachments --> Control Panel:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_var() in /home/httpd/subdomains/forums/httpdocs/admin/admin_attach_cp.php on line 62

The other Attach control panels (Management, Quote, etc...) all look whacky too. There is a lot of text missing. Any thoughts?

Nevermind. I'm dumb and forgot to upload the pre-mods...

I can not seem to figure out where to set the thumbnail size. Whatever I do they seem to stay 400 pixels wide ?!?

What I am doing wrong.

All suggestions are welcome !

thumbnails not displaying

Post by lukemack »

hi,

I have followed the instructions in the user guide - 'How to get Thumbnails working' but no thumbnails are being displayed. I am either getting an image displayed as a link or the whole image is displayed inline (not as a thumbnail)

In extension groups control, images are allowed and set to the special category of 'images'. In Manage special categories, 'Display images Inlined' and 'Create thumbnails' are set to yes (have also tried other settings here but nothing worked). All other settings are default.

phpBB version is 2.0.14 with the latest Attachment mod version (working other than thumbnail support). Latest version of Image Magick AND GD extensions are installed (the GD setting is set to no but have tried both).

Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this / how to get thumbnails working?

Thanks,

lukemack.

Attachment Mod Control Panel

Post by chrisjchrisj »

I 've added Attachment Mod. When I go to ACP > Attachment section and select Control Panel this is what appears:

"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_var() in /home/public_html/phpbb/admin/admin_attach_cp.php on line 62"

Line 62 seems to be: $start = get_var('start', 0);

Can you offer a suggestion to remedy this?

Thanks so much.

is there a way of searching this thread? that would be pretty useful in view of the fact that it has 604 pages.

thanks,

I had the same problem. Elswhere in this thread i located the solution
Edit the '$max_width = 400;' entry on line 41 of /forum/attach_mod/includes/functions_thumbs.php.

But I am surprised that this had to be done by coding. Maybe a future release has a more userfriendly option.
