When I add an attachment on phpBB2.20 with the latest version of Attachment Mod the file is uploaded into the files directory but when I click on the paperclip attachment icon it just opens up a new window with a small image placeholder in the top left hand corner rather than opening the attached file?

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'attach_setup_viewtopic_auth(, SELECT * FROM doeacc_config)' at

SELECT t.topic_id, t.topic_title, t.topic_status, t.topic_replies, t.topic_time, t.topic_type, t.topic_vote, t.topic_last_post_id, f.forum_name, f.forum_status, f.forum_id, f.auth_view, f.auth_read, f.auth_post, f.auth_reply, f.auth_edit, f.auth_delete, f.auth_sticky, f.auth_announce, f.auth_pollcreate, f.auth_vote, f.auth_attachments FROM doeacc_topics t, doeacc_forums f WHERE t.topic_id = 3 AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id attach_setup_viewtopic_auth(, SELECT * FROM doeacc_config);

File : viewtopic.php

/* please help me out */

You did this edit wrong:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
viewtopic.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 152
		AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id
		$order_sql";

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------------------------------
#
attach_setup_viewtopic_auth($order_sql, $sql);
Check your viewtopic.php file and fix the edit and you should be fine.

Someone already installed it on 2.0.20 but you have to do it via the manual install. Premodded files are still not available.

Thanks in advance

can someone explain how to safely upgrade to 2.0.20 with the attach mod installed?
I'm running 2.0.19 and I want to upgrade but since i've never upgraded before, i'm afraid to screw up the attachments (and my site is a download site so attachments are vital)...otherwise i'd already have upgraded by now
I'm not a total newbie but i need a little guidance

Don't know if this is what you want...

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... thumbnails

but I like the way it turned out. And it can use GD1 or GD2 or Imagick. And in Admin it allows settings for the thumbnail size.
