Help!!!

Did you goto Admin>Attachment>Management>Attachment Options and see if it is disabled?

Another question!

Is there a mod or option to make the attachments *Members Only*?

Edit: Figured it out... :P

question:::FTP Upload feature...

Post by jcii »

Hello,

I have a question regarding the FTP upload feature. I have read the documentation, but I am unclear on the exact functionality.

Does the FTP upload allow users to upload via ftp, instead of the http post? Or, does it still use the http post to get the files to the phpbb system, then redirect the file to the FTP server so that it can be downloaded from the FTP server, instead of the http server where phpbb exists?

My hosting provider has their php.ini configured for the default of a maximum 2MB upload_filesize. I hope that the FTP feature will allow me to circumvent this, but so far it has not in my testing...

thanks

I have been using the attachment for over 6 months now with out any problems. Until now trying to attach a PDF file, it acts like it is uploading the file then I get an error that the file is empty.

Any Ideas what might be wrong?

Attachment Mod Error

Post by ppittman »

I posted this in another thread and was directed here:

Tried installing the attachment module and got the following error message in the admin section:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: include_attach_lang() in D:\home\Default\langladespeedway.com\htdocs\forum\admin\admin_attachments.php on line 58

I looked at the direct path in the admin_attachment.php file and tried inserting the entire path and all I got was more errors down the page.

Any thoughts?

can someone explain how to safely upgrade to 2.0.20 with the attach mod installed?
I'm running 2.0.19 and I want to upgrade but since i've never upgraded before, i'm afraid to screw up the attachments (and my site is a download site so attachments are vital)...otherwise i'd already have upgraded by now
I'm not a total newbie but i need a little guidance

yer I'm in the same boat, how ever I did updated the database ok with only one error
Update completed
Please make sure you have updated your board files too, this file is only updating your database

Updating version and optimizing tables
Progress :: . . Done
Result :: Some queries failed, the statements and errors are listing below
Error :: Table 'rgwfishing.SESSIONS_KEYS_TABLE' doesn't exist
SQL :: DELETE FROM SESSIONS_KEYS_TABLE

can any one tell me how to fix please, unsure what to do here.

board seems to run ok. apart from the error

when will the new version be ready. My board seem to be the older style

That has nothing to do with this mod. The sessions table is an integral part of phpBB. So if it's missing then something must have gone wrong in your upgrading and you'll need to post your question in the support forum.

Probably has to do with the file size and not the file type in which case the php.ini file on the server needs to be edited and the post_max_size variable needs to be changed accordingly.

My guess would be that this part of the posting.php edit:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 580
			update_post_stats($mode, $post_data, $forum_id, $topic_id, $post_id, $user_id);
		}

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------------------------------
# the Line have to be added AFTER the closing brace
		$attachment_mod['posting']->insert_attachment($post_id);
although possibly in the right place might also be in a spot edited by one of your other mods therefore only executing and attaching in the case you stated.

PDF files not downloading.

Post by gchancy »

I have installed the MOD and everything is working great, except PDFs. When I click the 'Download' for PDFs, I get a blank panel. All other file types seem to work great.

To download a PDF, I have to right click and 'Save Target As.' Anyone have any suggestions as to what I have going wrong? Thanks!

Try going to the

CP>Extensions>Extension Groups Control

and under where you have the PDF files, select Download Mode as "Inline"

If that doesn't work then Im not sure.
