check your modifications in posting.php and posting_body.tpl

Well, I used the pre-configured files, but I went back and checked anyway, just to be sure. they were fine...

@ nubianniht : a part of what you want to do (eg if you're logged on as a guest you can't see this the image attachment but if you're logged on, it's possible) is possible. On your forum permission, just set up the download permissions to REG

ok so be careful : if you are using the pre-modified files of the latest version (2.3.8), they are for phpBB 2.0.5 and not phpBB 2.0.4.

:?
i know if the download perms are set to reg only registered users are able to see the image attachments and guest are not.
i clearly understand that but i wanted it so where if it is set like that
( download perms set to reg ) then guest have a link to the image attachment.
i hope you can understand what i'm getting at?

- you're a guest visiting my board and the perms are set to reg.
- you go into a forum thread that has an attached image.
- you wouldn't unable to see the attach image or even knew if there were and attached image

but wouldn't it be great if there was some hyperlink letting you ( the guest ) know that there is images attached in the post?

i hope i'm not confusing you onwhat im saying.

Ah... that could explain why I'm getting errors. I'm using phpBB 2.0.4 and attach_mod 2.3.8. Maybe I'd better upgrade to 2.0.5 and see if this will fix things?

Oh well, finally after a lot of messing around got to 2.0.5, and still getting the same errors on the profile pages. :(

Woohoo! I found the error! I made a typo in includes/usercp_viewprofile.php and put "pofile" instead of "profile". It's working now. :D
