I tried GIF and JPG and with both it didn't work.

Do you know what php settings or so could cause this to not work? So that I can ask my host to change this settings for me.

When I upgraded from .17 to .23 I lost my attachment mod. Is there a way to re-establish the mod/ the attached files now I'm on 23? I upgrading to phpbb3 soon. Can it be fixed later in phpbb3?

Thanks!

phpBB3 has it's own attachment system derived from this one. You can get the .23 files from my site in my sig.

Ok, but isn't it too late for me? I upgraded from .17 with att mod to a .23 without att mod. Now I've moved to another server. Can I get the attached files back in the posts? Will the .23 att mod be "syncronized" with the phpBB3?

I suppose you meant this post on your forum?: Premodified 2.0.23 files

Thanks!!

All you've lost are the edits. Using the premodified files is actually easier than anything else you could do with this mod. Download, extract, upload to your site, done. You'll need to run the install/update_to_latest.php file included with the premodded files.

I'm sorry english is not my first language. "All you've lost is the edits" what does that mean? So when I upload your premodded version .23 to my existing .23 and the "files" folder all the attachments will appear again?

Thanks!

This is a mod that requires many file edits and is what I'm talking about. Follow the instructions and you should be just fine.

You mean it says the extension is not allowed? Go to admin and add the extension and enable the extension group.

Go to Forum Permissions, select your forum, and change to advanced mode. You should see a permission titled "Download Files". That's your culprit.

I've just installed the mod on my phpBB2 site. Things were a little different because I am using a non-default style, but I found all the edits and made them. Everything seemed to go fine. In the ACP, I ran the test settings and everything checked out.

However, now when I try to make a post or reply to a post, I cannot submit or preview. Everything seems fine, but whenever I click Submit or Preview nothing happens at all.

Any idea how I can resolve this problem?

I believe this is what you're missing from your edits:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]-----------
#
templates/yourtemplate/posting_body.tpl

#
#-----[ FIND ]-----------
# around line 258
<form action="{S_POST_ACTION}" method="post" name="post" onsubmit="return checkForm(this)">

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]-----
#
<form action="{S_POST_ACTION}" method="post" name="post" onsubmit="return checkForm(this)" {S_FORM_ENCTYPE}>
