How did you install? You uploaded the pre-modded files?
You're most probably missing this:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
common.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 218
	$board_config[$row['config_name']] = $row['config_value'];
}

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]--------------------------------------
# After the closing brace
include($phpbb_root_path . 'attach_mod/attachment_mod.'.$phpEx);

Finished trying this. I have re-installed a total of 4 times - from scratch - down to a new Db every time. The attach_mod still will not work so I am forced to try Coppermine (which hopefully will not cause even more problems). Maybe this mod will become popular enough to merit EasyMod Compliancy. Until then, I can't keep speding hours on this with no results... I really appreciate your help David.

Couldn't update Extension Informations

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'UPDATE WHERE ext_id = 13' at line 1

UPDATE phpbb_extensions SET UPDATE WHERE ext_id = 13

Line : 133
File : admin_extensions.php

Any Solution for this problem ? I have no idea what to do

What version phpBB you running?

Well anyways if you have this anywhere in your admin_extensions.php file: attach_mod_sql_escape then just replace it with attach_mod_sql_build_array. Maybe check your admin_attachments.php file as well.

running 2.0.18 with CH 2.1.4

FYI I checked admin_extensions and attach_mod_sql_escape was nowhere in that file. It showed up several times in admin_attachments.php but threw the same error only with attach_mod_sql_build_array when i replaced it.

Hello,

I am reinstalling this mod on a fresh install of 2.0.18, using the premodified files downloaded on sourceforge. The only thing I had done to the fresh install before installing this mod was install a different style (subBlack)

I have 2 questions;

I assume I have to go in and update the subBlack style to show the mod aswell, correct?

And when attaching large pictures (viewed in subSilver) they no longer thumbnail like they used to on my old 2.0.11 installation, has the attachment mod changed in this respect? I see no setting for this, large pictures show up VERY large.

Edit: I have read the last 10 pages of this post, and see a few with the same question. I know when I used this mod before this option was automatic (thumbnail, well, I dont remember setting anything for it to work)

Oh...I started a new board with CH installed today and am trying to integrate the Attachment Mod into it and it seems way different. I'll get back to you when I finish in the next few days.

Ah...this is the error that was about that build array thing. Open your admin_extensions.php file and find attach_mod_sql_escape and replace with attach_mod_sql_build_array and you should be all set.

All you have to do is perform the editing of viewtopic.php that is stated on the install.txt file.

I would say yes if you installed a vanilla viewtopic.php to a board with attachment mod installed. Here is the install for attachment mods and it clearly shows alterations to viewtopic

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------------------
#
viewtopic.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 152
		AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id
		$order_sql";

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------------------------------
#
attach_setup_viewtopic_auth($order_sql, $sql);

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 587
$s_auth_can .= ( ( $is_auth['auth_vote'] ) ? $lang['Rules_vote_can'] : $lang['Rules_vote_cannot'] ) . '<br />';

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------------------------------
#
attach_build_auth_levels($is_auth, $s_auth_can);

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 817
//
// Update the topic view counter

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]---------------------------------------
#
init_display_post_attachments($forum_topic_data['topic_attachment']);

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------------------
# around line 1209
		'U_POST_ID' => $postrow[$i]['post_id'])
	);

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]---------------------------------------
# The Line have to be added AFTER the ');' and BEFORE the '}' (without single quotes)
	display_post_attachments($postrow[$i]['post_id'], $postrow[$i]['post_attachment']);

Any ideas about this david? can you confirm if the thumbnail works on this revision of the software?

You'll have to manually edit subBlack to work with this and the thumbnails thing should be automatic for the correct extensions group. I think it's only good for images.

I have replaced all what you said but the problem remains the same :-(
Another idea ?
