Without reading through 1243 pages of post, will the Attachment MOD database structure upgrade easily to Olympus when it comes out?

I've just started a new forum for our Township web site and they would like to have access to upload PDF files and photos for the community to be able to download or view.

I'm hoping since I would hate to implement this MOD and then find out that everything would have to be wiped clean for those database tables.

phpBB3 already has this feature so once it becomes "Gold" this mod will be discontinued...although it almost is right now.

Have you set download permissions in Forum Permissions?

I new that phpBB3 has these features, but I'm curious to know if the database structure for the two is the same or will it change. Since this MOD was developed by the developers of phpbb2.x.. I'm just seeing if they will carry over the database structure to the new phpbb3 system for ease of upgrade.

In the instructions, there's a section for using the pre-modified files. Where can one get the pre-modified files for a plain vanilla installation of phpbb?

The instructions tell where to get those... but it is further down in the instructions.

Post by urbanbrain »

the install said it all went perfect, and then the menu has the right links, but every time I click on something I get

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: include_attach_lang() in /home/content/m/a/l/malamuter/html/community/admin/admin_attach_cp.php on line 52

Does anyone have some helpful advice? :roll:

I have tried files up to 2mb as well as UTZ THM WAV MP3 files and nothing works.

Your host probably changed your upload limits. Check by putting this in notepad, save it as phpinfo.php, upload it to your site, and open in a browser:

Code: Select all

<?php phpinfo(); ?>
Look for upload_max_filesize and post_max_size.

upload_max_filesize = 10mb
post_max_size = 11mb

Hi there,

Installed the attachment mod in a new phpBB2 install
(2.0.21) and am getting a wierd page that is just way too long.
I don't know how to properly explain it, but you can see what I mean here -
http://chopperhandbook.net/viewforum.php?f=2

How can I fix this?

Thanks for your time and toleration of my ignorance.

Best,

Weyland
