Is that the exact error message? It should be trying to upload to "files", not "/files"

Hi, I am searching for the Watermark add-on for the attachment mod.
Anyone having it available?

Thanks!

The one you uploaded to your site so go to

Code: Select all

http://www.whateveryourforumurlis.com/install/install.php
and that should do it. Of course remember to delete the install and contrib folders after you're done.

I'm not understanding how you installed this mod. You used the premodified files and then proceeded to edit the files again?

We checked and the folder 'files' is in the root phpBB folder. This is correct isn't it?
We also checked to make sure it was set to 777, and we did it both as just foler itself, and folder and all it's contents, yet it still came up with that error message.

The error message is correct because I just copied and pasted it straight of the screen, but I have to add here, it displayed the error message twice, which is why you see it twice in my post.

I tried to upload a different pciture just to show how error message appears twice, and I'm copying and pasting it here:

Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/123002_251.jpg.
Upload Error: Could not upload Attachment to ./files/123002_251.jpg.

You're doing that on a Unix/Linux box right? For a Windows server it requires a different approach.

IIS_USR and/or "Everyone" needs to have full rights to that folder which is done by looking at the security properties of that folder within Windows.

I can't communicate with him at this present time, so I am going to try and gather as much info as I can for when I can get in touch with him.
But,
when I was on the phone to him yesterday I aksed him what FTP client he was using and he said Ipswich, and I also remember when going through the CHMOD's for the config.php and the files folder he was able to change it.

Now I don't know anything at all about Windows servers or Linux servers and what the differences are, but if he was actually physically changing thses CHMOD's in his FTP client, what does that mean? If he is using a Windows server would he have been able to modify CHMOD settings in the first place?

Cheers

Not sure how Apache works when running on Windows but I suspect that the FTP client might be picking up settings within Apache in that case but this might just be something else. Take a screenshot of your Attachment MOD configuration page and post it back here.

How can I remove the additions to the FAQ page that this mod adds? I like to keep my FAQ page pretty simple. All other questions can be directed to myself or a moderator.
