Right

I decided to delete the entire forum and database.

I did this.

Now,

I have just made a completely new installation of phpbb version .16 .
I followed this by a completely new installation of EasyMod version 0.2.0
I followed that by a completely new installation of CashMod version 2.2.2

It STILL does'nt work!

When I click on post reply it say's the following:-

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ',' in /home/mmacrazy/public_html/testforum/posting.php on line 195

Can Anyone offer any advice????????????????????

Thanks

OK I'm viewing the code by viewing through FTP.

There's loads, I dont want to post it all. How do you go about locating the particular line or general area?

I had this same problem. There was a syntax error in posting.php at line 195.
Open this line in an editor that can count lines (edit under DOS worked for me). Go to line 195 and make sure it looks like this:

Code: Select all

		$sql = "SELECT f.*, t.topic_status, t.topic_title , t.topic_poster
In my case, the last part (

Code: Select all

, t.topic_poster
) had gotten moved to the start of the line where it didn't belong. Correcting it fixed my problem.

Now, does anyone know how I can configure it so that users only get rewarded for their first post of the day? I tried looking for cash_disable_spam_num and cash_disable_spam_time, but didnt' get very far (they were used in only 1 file that I could find, sql_222.txt).

thanks,

Geodad

break;

case 'reply':
case 'vote':
if ( empty( $topic_id) )
{
message_die(GENERAL_MESSAGE, $lang['No_topic_id']);
}

, t.topic_poster $sql = "SELECT f.*, t.topic_status, t.topic_title
FROM " . FORUMS_TABLE . " f, " . TOPICS_TABLE . " t
WHERE t.topic_id = $topic_id
AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id";
break;

Ive just tried it but it's saying the same.

I can't believe we as users have to program it ourselves. Is this for real?

Surely there another way than us total noobs having to write code which we have zero understanding of.

Also i've probably irresversibly screwed it up by attempting to alter it.

Where could i get a copy of the file which actually works? What about downloading a new copy of phpbb and uploading that file to the database? Would that work?

:?

Well that sems to have worked but i NOW find that when i try to make a new thread I get this :-

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/MYSITE/public_html/testforum/includes/functions_post.php on line 357

This is incredible!

EDIT:-

OK well I deleted that file ASWELL and replaced it with a new copy and it appears to have worked.

My problem now though is that I have no idea of knowing whether the old one's I deleted had any modifications which are required by the lovely CashMod.

CRAZY!

EDIT:-

Now i'm going to try adding the Solaris style. i did this last time, before I added EasyMod and it caused some problems. Something I am used to now. :lol:

EDIT:-

No, it does'nt work. When i click on threads i get this:-

Template->make_filename(): Error - file cash_viewtopic.tpl does not exist

EDIT:-

OK fixed that by copying the file from the subsilver theme I had on my desktop to the solaris directory on my database.

Hi, im new here, i had my cashmod installed i while ago, and i also installed my shop hack, well i added a few items, and i bought it, without any errors, than i decided to change the name of currency from points to dollars, then it went bad from there because everytime i try to buy something it gives me the error:

Fatal Error: updating user information

i tried to delete that currency and start over again, with points as the name of the currency but it still shows, that error. Im using user_points, everything is ok, but it doesnt want to work, anyone please help.
