in the includes/functions_post.php, I'm on this step:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
		include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_search.'.$phpEx);

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
		$GLOBALS['cm_posting']->update_delete($mode, $post_data, $forum_id, $topic_id, $post_id);

however, in the file there are two places with

Code: Select all

include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_search.'.$phpEx);
I don't know where to add the new code... in the function delete_post or function submit_post :?

Is there a way to "dontate" or "pay" another member with your credits w/out an admin having to do it?
-Thanks!

Hi,

is there a mod of this mod which allows the user to earn money when his topic is moved from a non-earning forum to an earning one and lose money in the other way ?

Thanks

At this point I'm thinking the amount charged for new posts can be 5, and the amount paid for replies can be 10. What this essentially does for my forum is that every song/lyric critique (reply) gains a user the ability to create two new posts (requests for critique) in our songcrafting forums. Mods would need to be excluded from this arrangement, but I think that's a given...

EDITS/AFTERTHOUGHTS:

1) A reply to one's own post should not earn any credit (just thought of that)!

2) New users need to get 10 'talents' on registration.

Is any of this doable? :)

Thanks so much for any help!
James

I found a mod on another site that allows you to charge for new topics (and replies, but hopefully I could disable the reply part)...so it seems like some of the work is already done. Would need to figure out how to prevent replying to one's own topic from creating income, though. A former mod writer told me I could possibly wrap something in reply.php in an iff statement to do this, but right now I have no idea how to do that. :( Any suggestions, anyone?

Thanks,
James

yeah.. i think it's about 5 pages back now...

However i had an error for mine - whether or not you have an error or you just didn't do something right is another question

If no error (or even with i guess), Just check you've done the right modifications in usercp_profile.php and profile.php (not sure if you changed that one... i think you do)

If you're using eXtreme Styles MOD.. replace classes_cash.php from Cash MOD with the one included in eXtreme Styles MOD package.

I'm sure the answer to this is in here somewhere, but I can't get it to search for me. :(

I installed using EM. Now at the top of view topic I get:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /export/htdocs/Dept/Org/other/ccrr/Forum/phpBB2/includes/functions_cash.php:2860) in /export/htdocs/Dept/Org/other/ccrr/Forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php on line 1699

I'm hoping there is an easy fix for this?

Hi,

Have you (or anyone else out there) had any luck with solving this? I've just installed Cash mod on my new forum, and everything appears to be working but there is absolutely nothing displayed on user profiles. Any help is greatly appreciated! :)

I'm assuming that the user profiles is where people would normally go to get to the donate or exchange functions. If not, that could be another problem I'm having as I can't find anything anywhere that links to these. :?: :?

Thanks for this tip :) I managed to get the points to show up in the profile... but should they not also show in the view topic under the author under my post count??

I am receiving a fatal error when I try to post a new message. The most recent mod I installed that modifed the functions_post.php file which is where I am getting the error message is this one. I installed it using the newest version of easyMod and it installed fine.

Everything works except when I try to actually post a message on the forum. The Preview feature works, but when I actually click the Submit button I get the follow error message.

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /homepages/9/d153282895/htdocs/freak/phpBB2/includes/functions_post.php on line 215

And here is line 215 and the line before it in the specified file.

Code: Select all

include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_search.'.$phpEx);

$current_time = time();

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

still need to fix this if someone can help....

but I have also discovered another problem...

I have made currency... and set the settings to allow users to donate cash to other users.

I as admin can donate... but a regular user doesn't seem to be able to.

Am I missing something somewhere else?? the setting are a little confusing.

Thanks
