I am receiving these errors as soon as I click on the chat.

Parse error: parse error in /homepages/29/d67619775/htdocs/jill/forum/chat/lib/index.lib.php on line 1108

C_FORUM_NAME Chat

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /homepages/29/d67619775/htdocs/jill/forum/chat/index.php on line 53

Any ideas.

I also notice in the install.txt it says files to edit.
phpmychat:
## link.htm
## config.lib.php
## help_popup.php
## lib/index.lib.php
## edituser.php
## lib/commands/profile.cmd.php
## handle_inputH.php

But for these files there are no edit instructions in the txt file.

Help please

PHPChat Problems

Post by kirk95 »

I am having some problems with this.

MAC users: when the screen refreshes the text blinks on and off

Some PC users: the cursor is kicked out of the text box when the screen refreshes. So if they are typing a message they keep getting kicked out off the text box.

Finally, how do I log on to the admin.php. It won't take my username and password? I have gone into myphp and made myself the administrator.

Any ideas?

Dude... whats your problem... I'm very busy and I MIGHT help people who show SOME sort of respect, but not to anyone like you... I remember you now... you are the one who was really annoying a while back...

David Henderson, I got your email and these problems are very strange. I don't know MAC at all... so I don't know what to do about that... and the PC users (when they are typing, can't they just move the mouse back in?)

JJS (sorry i'm soo busy.. i'm wokring on my site http://www.graphix11.tabscentral.com)

One of my members has a problem with chat. She has a Mac and every time the screen refreshes she loses the screen for a few seconds.

Has any other Mac user experienced this, and is there a way to fix.

I have phpmychat-mod (don´t really remember author) in my phpbb, and before I want to try this new mod, I´d like to know this:

In my current chat, there is a problem, that sometimes database get stucked and it won´t except any new chatters. Only those who have been there before "problem user" can click in. By problem users, I mean users, who has spaces or scandinavian alphabets on their usernames, such as "Ääliö 76". I can fix this by dropping c_reg_users-table and creating a new one. I have also tried to delete this certain username from that table, but this doesn´t seem to help!?

Do you think that your mod can handle these usernames?
