Anybody know what the added query count (if any) this mod adds?

Hey thanks Gremlinn, yes I do have the Category Heirarchy 2.11 mod installed. I worked out how to add the database tables & data now thanks . I just got a chance now to re-try this mod. Everything has gone smoothly and it works fine except for one problem .... I can't view the medals in topic, I have to click the link provided.

When I'm in the admin area medal config and I click the "Use in Topic" option then when I submit it and return to the config page it shows "No" again instead of "Yes". I even went into the database and added "1" instead of "0" and it still doesn't work?

Any ideas anyone?

Only Displaying Two Categories

Post by socomcasper »

I have the Medal Mod on my site. Excellent MOD. Anyway, I have four categories, but on the medals.php page it is only displaying two. If there is a known error for this, please let me know. Or if I did something wrong, just say so.

Thanks in advance.

socomcasper: Somewhere back a few pages, I think I posted a fix for this. It's a matter of changing a couple lines to get it to do the math properly.

same error as KI

Code: Select all

Wrong mode for generating select list

Line : 87
File : admin_medal.php
How to fix it?

I do have category Hierachy installed, but how can I apply the following fix?

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO `phpbb_config`
VALUES (

'allow_medal_display', '0', '0'
)

shirleycaat: You have to run that SQL in your database. There are many ways to do it depending on what resources you have available. You could use MYSQL Query Browser (available at www.mysql.com), phpmyadmin, command line mysql commands or someother way depending on what you have available.

Gremlinn, thank you for replying.
I do know how to run SQL in phpMyAdmin, but by running:

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO `phpbb_config`
VALUES (

'allow_medal_display', '0', '0'
)
I got an error:

Column count doesn't match value count

because my phpbb_config table only has two fields: config_name, config_value.

The category Hierachy installed on my forum is an old version (2.0.X).

Is it possible to integrate the medals into the memberlist?

I'm going to release a bug-fixed version before end of Sept, so if you would like to help out in the next version, you are welcome to report any bugs you've encounter in the current version. Credits will be given in MOD History.

all that needed to be fixed was a coupla typos, and the fix for categories.

Anyone can, just reply to this thread :wink:

You can report them, or even provide a fix if you want.
