:D FIXED! FIXED! FIXED! FIXED! :D

The problem was in bbtech.css- it defined any input for forms with borders, so it was overriding the viewtopic_body.tpl border='0' section. Now it looks good!

For anyone who wants to know how I did this, I'm including the code. BTW, this is for the BBTech style. Quick reply mod display bug fix. Can also be applied to Quick Quote mod using same method.

Find in viewbody.tpl (templates/bbtech/):

Code: Select all

<input type='image' src='{quick_reply.QUICK_REPLY_IMG}' border='0' alt="{quick_reply.L_QUICK_REPLY_TOPIC}" onClick="if(document.quick_reply.message.value == '{quick_reply.L_QUICK_REPLY_TOPIC}' || document.quick_reply.message.value == ''){ alert('{quick_reply.L_EMPTY_MESSAGE}'); return false;}else{ return true;}" />
Append right next to "<input ":

Code: Select all

class='quick'
Which should make it look like:

Code: Select all

<input class='quick' src='{qui.....
Find in BBTech.css (templates/bbtech/):

Code: Select all

/* Form elements */
input, textarea, select {
color : #e4e4e4;
font: normal 11px Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
BORDER-RIGHT: #47475D 1px solid;
BORDER-TOP: #121316 2px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: #47475D 1px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: #121316 2px solid;
background:#0D0E13;
}
Append AFTER that section this code:

Code: Select all

.quick {
color : #e4e4e4;
font: normal 11px Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
BORDER-RIGHT: #47475D 0px solid;
BORDER-TOP: #121316 0px solid;
BORDER-BOTTOM: #47475D 0px solid;
BORDER-LEFT: #121316 0px solid;
background:#0D0E13;
}
This effectively ensures that the quick reply button will not be encased in within borders in the BBTech style.

To apply this to Quick Quote mod (which is a mod of the Quick Reply mod):

Find in viewtopic_body.tpl (templates/BBTech):

Code: Select all

<input type='image' src='{quick_reply.QUICK_QUOTE_IMG}' border='0' name='quoteselected' alt="{quick_reply.L_QUICK_QUOTE_TOPIC}" onClick='javascript:quoteSelection();return false;' />
Simply insert:

Code: Select all

class='quick'
right after the

Code: Select all

<input
to form:

Code: Select all

<input class='quick'
If you've already followed the steps for Quick Reply, then you're done. If you haven't, do those steps I outline above. Took me a few hours to figure this out! Kudos goes to MusicMan- he said he suspected the problem was in the CSS (he had the same problem) so I checked there- LO AND BEHOLD! The criminal was hiding there! Happy to say, I rehabilated the criminal, and he's now leading a very happy and clean life! :lol:

Enjoy!

Could someone be so kind as to make a quick reply for this style, please?

Done. I use BBTech as well, so I don't mind posting. I'm including the Quick Quote button image as well. All credits go to MDesigns- I only changed the text.

Enjoy!

Thanks for making that but I actually did get the darn thing made after hours of trying to get the font to show up in photoshop (hate it when that happens). So I made my own after I got the font to work. Thanks though.

no problem. it was easy to figure out how to change the text.

1. install font that comes with resources into ur font directory
2. open the button psd file into photoshop
3. click on the text option on the sidebar on the left of PS prog
4. Move the mouse cursor over the text til u see the box around the text cursor disappear
5. Click on it
6. Type (or backspace, etc) as you would any ordinary text.
7. You even can change text colors if you want.

To change the glow effect color or strength of glow, etc:

a. look at the layer section of PS (right side of prog)
b. select the text layer
c. double click on it

There ya go! Quick and easy modifications!

Again, credits goes to MDesigns.

Hi, I have this mod installed on my forum. It works fine, however the quickreply box is available to guests. I have set the forum permissions so that guests can't post, but the quick reply allows them to. I have some of the mods from Ptirhiik, such as categories hierachy, and some other 1s just by him, no other authers (sept your self). What is the problem?
