MOD Title: Avatar Re-haul MOD [ AKA Multiple User Avatars ].

MOD Author: ILoserMan < ILoserMan@deflow.net > (Marco Ceppi) www.deflow.net

MOD Description: This adds the ability for users to "Link", or "Upload" multiple avatars and then choose which one (s)he wishes to show when posting. This way they could have one image for one type of post, and another image for another type of post. It will also hosue a number of other Avatar Related MODs to make one Super Package

They have stuff like this on Blogging sites, and on-line journals. So I thought it would be a cool MOD to use for phpBB.

Well I have been getting some e-mails and PM request to add this to add that. So I think I will make this into ONE BIG Avatar MOD.

Some things to be added:

I will release my MOD in bits and pieces, everytime I get a new feature added I will update the MOD. Install and Upgrade instructions will be included for all. I am updateing the first topic.

This sounds like an excellent MOD, although I'm a little confused...

This way they could have one image for one type of post, and another image for another type of post.

What do you mean by "type"? Is it that the AVs will alternate per post/page load or other parameters (for specific categories/forums)? Or do they have an option to select an avatar per post?

@Kalipo: They have an option to choose evertime they post. I said type, as in nature, if its a Ranting post, they can have a "Rant" avatar to use for that post, and so on and so forth

FYI:

They do the updateing and adding of avatars and what not though the Profile. There is options [ in the ACP ] to Limit the ammount of space alotted for uploading multiple avatars, the number of "Avatars" to be used, and even apply the "word band" on the names of "Avatars".

There is an option to set your "Default" which will show up on all the posts, unless you choose another "Avatar" to use. The "Choosing" will be done via drop down box in the posting.php.

Hope this claifys some things up.

I hope to have a "Sketch" of what Im talking about up later.

I was hoping you were going to say that. My board has private threads for the more adult-related topics. I know some of the users would like to utilize AVs bearing a bit more skin but can't for obvious reasons. Since this will give them the choice to choose per post, this will be a perfect MOD for them.

End of April begining of May it depends when I finish up the install script, and get the MOD stable enough.
