Introduction

This MOD is intended as a more lightweight option for those people who want a rewards system for their forums but don't want or need any of the features offered by alternative modifications.

I have included an upgrade instruction file for those of you who wish to upgrade from the latest version released by Napoleon (2.0.9)

  • The points system can be turned off for individual users
  • The points system can be turned off in certain forums

could you tell us what has been upgraded from napoleans last release?

EDIT: found a bug in the sql query.

FIX:

OPEN: includes/page header.php

Find:

Code: Select all

SET user_points = user_points + $points_to_give
Replace with:

Code: Select all

 SET user_points = 'user_points + $points_to_give'

Putting ' around them stops the points for browsing feature from working, so I won't change that in the install file.

The only change thus far is adding a feature where you can give users gold for browsing the forum.

welli f you dont put ' ' around it then you get an sql error and you cant view your forum so i suggest figuring out a fix ;)

EDIT: and it works for me just the way i said it anyway. with the ' ' around it.

o.o Weird. It works fine for me just as it is. I'll look into it.

EDIT: I think I've fixed the problem. My host is currently down so I'll upload the new file as soon as I can.

EDIT: Okay, 2.1.1 is now up. I've included an upgrade.txt file :)

before the sql request seems better :)

Do the following:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#

viewtopic.php

#
#-----[ FIND & DELETE ]------------------------------------------
#

include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_points.'.$phpEx);
That should fix the problem.

Try doing what I suggested for every PHP file that the MOD edits. You can see what these are in the install.txt file that comes with it.
