theres a bug

you login to the portal, and go forums and it logs you out

maybe on the login box it needs a little check box saying keep me logged in

also i think instead of redirecting it to the forum when you login how can i redirect it to the portal?

I played with this portal a bit.... seems good (with the features and all) but the performance seems very sluggish and I was the only tester on the portal ........

just something to take a look into....

I think that the sid isn't being carried over, possibly a cookie problem.

You may be wrong. The performance is impressive because the feature of gallery , Kowledge-base simiar module, shoutbox, and other blocks feature etc independently from MKportal, unlike phpBB portal which build around on phpBB only, so the resource workloads sharing by two side, making phpBB less resourceful-dependent. Efficiency is thus enhanced. to make a real "phpBB-unrelated" portal. work smoothly.

LOL... This explanation sounds like something coming from a Microsoft engineer, explaining why Windows requires gigabytes of everything. Duuuuude, it's not what you see that counts -- it's what's under the hood!

The innovation may be sound, as kaisuny is more concerned about, but the site does indeed load slow (took 15 secs to download/render the main index page on my PC). I have four T1's running in parallel, so it may be something to do with either the server, or the fact that it's located in Italy.

T1 cannot quarantee a smooth internet connection to other country.

The performance of surfing nets in other countries involves more complex matters such as data throughput, server, route and etc.. The portal and T1 are not neccessary the critcial points.
