Well, it saves category states (expanded/collapsed) in the user's browser. I have no plans to store this information on the server.

I absolutely love this mod.

However, on Firefox (at least) the pictures - both the plus and minus signs and the up and down arrows - do not display. They do appear correct in IE, but since I have many users that don't like IE I get some complaints over this.

It's really a minor issue but the broken image placeholders are rather ugly. Any idea as to what I need to correct?

Edit: Just tested - they don't appear correctly on your demosite either, so it's not my installation it seems. Probably another of those fun JS compatability issues...

kazper: I tested this MOD (in my dev environment, in my site, in the demo and several other sites as well) with several browsers, including firefox. And it works for me. Also, I believe I got possitive feedback from other firefox users in this topic.

It might be something related to your browser. A firefox add-on perhaps?

Hi again, kazper. I believe I've found the problem with firefox. Please, try this:

1) Open firefox (1.0PR ?).
2) On the menubar, select Tools, then Options
3) Select Web Features
4) Make sure javascript is enabled, then click the Advanced button.
5) Make sure Change images IS checked.
6) Click ok, click ok. ...et voilà!

*lol* Now I feel pretty stupid, but Change images was the problem.

Thanks a million - both for the help and the great mod :D

No problem. I've installed firefox 1.0PR as a result of this. And I have learnt something as well. ;)

I just got done installing your dynamic acp and fax mods on my website and I must say your work ROCKS!!! I have a copy of my heavily modded site on my testbed and will be giving this mod a try. I believe it should work being I have all subforums attached to categories, I just have to make sure I am using the required version of RC which I believe I am. I will post an update if I see any incompatiabilites.

Now I just need to figure out how to use the same features and turn my ezportal portal.php blocks into collapsible, kind of like how mx does it, based on how your mods work, hehe.

Thanks again for ALL the great mods!!! Keep up the good work!

greengeek: Thanks! :)

However, read this...

...anyone planning to use this MOD with Categories Hierarchy MOD should be aware of this:
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... 44#1269044

ie. a new version of CH is comming :!:

This is why this MOD has been untouched for some time in the Beta forum.

hey Markus, I finally got around to implementing this mod on my forum but I noticed 2 small probs with it....

1) The background of the table that gives me the name of the forum is changed (its just a white row now) and so is the text formatting that the forum name appears in....

2) whenever I click on the admin panel.... I get the usual split screen of the admin panel but now I get the forum in both the frames.... any help ?
