Hello!

I'm searching for an addon, so that you can see the topic types also on the board search (and maybe on the "recent more" hack)

Has anybody implemented such a addon or can give me a small hint?

P.S.: great Mod!

A good add-on for this could be to make it so You can choose which topic types go to what forum. For ex:
If i have a support forum, i dont want [BUG] showing up in a general talk forum

thanks

Great mod btw!

One problem that I do have is making the image for the new 'topic type' appear! For some reason it seems to struggle with the '/' in the search line for the image

When I view the properties for the image in the ACP I get....

http://tequilatown.co.uk/forum/template ... c_type.gif

.....it replaces the '/' with '%5c%5C'

Can you help me to resolve this issue!?

Regards!

Found an error in the install file resulting in images not being displayed!

viewforum.php
#-----[ FIND ]----------------------------------------------
#

if( $topic_rowset[$i]['topic_type'] == POST_ANNOUNCE )
{
$folder = $images['folder_announce'];
$folder_new = $images['folder_announce_new'];
}

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]----------------------------------------------
#

// BEGIN Advanced Topic Type MOD
else if( $topic_rowset[$i]['topic_type'] > POST_ADD_TYPE )
{
if( $row[$i]['topic_type_image'] != '' )
{
$folder = $row[$i]['topic_type_image'];
$folder_new = $row[$i]['topic_type_image_new'];
}
else
{
$folder = $images['folder_topic_type'];
$folder_new = $images['folder_topic_type_new'];
}
}
// END Advanced Topic Type MOD

This should be
#-----[ FIND ]----------------------------------------------
#

if( $topic_rowset[$i]['topic_type'] == POST_ANNOUNCE )
{
$folder = $images['folder_announce'];
$folder_new = $images['folder_announce_new'];
}

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]----------------------------------------------
#

// BEGIN Advanced Topic Type MOD
else if( $topic_rowset[$i]['topic_type'] == POST_ADD_TYPE )
{
if( $row[$i]['topic_type_image'] != '' )
{
$folder = $row[$i]['topic_type_image'];
$folder_new = $row[$i]['topic_type_image_new'];
}
else
{
$folder = $images['folder_topic_type'];
$folder_new = $images['folder_topic_type_new'];
}
}
// END Advanced Topic Type MOD

The default image then shows!

However, I've still not resolved my initial problem. I shall just replace the default image with my own....then it's 'job done'!

Its almost working perfectly. It gives me a error in overall_header.tpl. When I go inside the ACP and to this mods configuration and I get a error where it says "couldn't modify header information, headers already outputed by (some other file...)". I can still configure it, but those errors stay at the top of the page when I'm configuring those options (and only those, otherwise its not visible elsewhere in the ACP).Any help?

I got an error. When I've added a new Sticky ('Confirmed') and is trying to use it it writes '22' or '23' instead of 'Exclusive', 'Confirmed', or 'Fact' :S

Go here to see the live error

I would appreciate an answer ;)[/url]

This mod is excellent :P

I fix some bugs. If you installed this mod and the code the creator posted in this threat to allow different images for different skins then you should correct in viewforum.php the following:

Code: Select all

$sql = "SELECT t.*, t1.topic_type_color AS announce_color, t2.topic_type_color AS sticky_color, th.template_name AS template_name
  FROM ". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t,". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t1, ". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t2, ". THEMES_TABLE ." th
  WHERE t1.topic_type_name = 'announce'
  AND t2.topic_type_name = 'sticky'
AND th.themes_id = ". ( ( $board_config['override_user_style'] ) ? $board_config['default_style'] : $userdata['user_style']  );
MUST BE:

Code: Select all

$sql = "SELECT t.*, t1.topic_type_color AS announce_color, t2.topic_type_color AS sticky_color, th.template_name AS template_name
  FROM ". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t,". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t1, ". TOPIC_ADD_TYPE_TABLE ." t2, ". THEMES_TABLE ." th
  WHERE t1.topic_type_name = 'announce'
  AND t2.topic_type_name = 'sticky'
AND th.themes_id = '". ( ( $board_config['override_user_style'] ) ? $userdata['user_style'] : $board_config['default_style'] )."' ";
Thanks, hope this can help you!.
If any doubt please PM me.

Another bug in the code for different images for different templates:

Code: Select all

$folder = 'templates/'.$template_name.'/images/'.$row[$i]['topic_type_image'];
$folder_new = $row['template_name'].'images'.$row[$i]['topic_type_image_new'];
MUST BE:

Code: Select all

$folder = 'templates/'.$template_name.'/images/'.$row[$j]['topic_type_image'];
$folder_new = 'templates/'.$template_name.'/images/'.$row[$j]['topic_type_image_new'];
Enjoy, Martin :wink:
