Hi, here's a MOD to add and manage topic types.

MOD Full Description: This MOD allows you to add and manage custom topic types just like announce or sticky. You can add as many topic types as you want and use them to your posts. This is all is manageable by the ACP.

A topic type is caracterised by :
- A specific name that will appear in the viewforum.
- Custom color of which the topic type will appear in the viewforum.
- Possibility of putting the custom topic type post on top of each forum just as a sticky.
- Possibility of choosing the order of appearance of the custom topic types posts behind annoucement and sticky.
- You can choose to use a topic type as a normal post, and will not be on the top in viewforum.
- Auth control of the topic types, that allows you to choose who can use a specific topic type.
- You can add your own icons for each topic type that will appear in viewforum, if not, a default icon will be shown.

This MOD also allows you to change colors of the Announcement and Stickys.

In case of change of topic type order, or a delete of a topic type, all existing topics will be automatically updated.

You can choose when posting, between all the topic types you added if you have the right to use them, that is set by admin.

All comments are welcome, please give me some feedbacks  .

Can you specify via permissions who does/doesn't have the abilities to use certain topic types?

For example: Only Admins can list Announcements, Mods can list Stickies, and Reg users can use Topic Type X,Y, and Z.

To keep it simple, when editing a topic type, you can define who can use that specific topic type : all, reg, mod, admin.
If the user isn't allowed to use a topic type, it won't show on posting.php.
For announcement and stickies permissions, it's still the same. You can define auth in ug_auth.

just tested this out on my new test board, and i must say - well done.
The mod works great and installed fine.

my test board has no mods on it though, but it is 2.0.10 compatible :)
Just need to see how it goes on my real board, although I might wait a while

I'm confusing between all the appellation Alpha, Beta, Submitted etc. so I called it Beta

so basically this mod is complete, with no known bugs?

well it would be better to have it Beta, as we can test it and give feed back on any bugs. as there doesn't seem to be it can be assumed to be ok and given go-ahead for submission ;)
Always better to test, plus it saves some time for the mod validators too :)
