  • Quiz Adding from ACP - geoffreak
    Cool little addon which allows the admin to submit a quiz from the comfort of their very own home.. the admin panel!
  • Quiz Scores in ACP - nurhendra
    Allows admins to view quiz scores and has a nice sorting feature.
    These MOD's can be found in the contrib/ directory along with a readme.txt file!

    If you have this installed, you need to apply a fix to ult_install.php to install the Ultimate Quiz Mod. Thanks to the_bunny for writing the fix, which can be found at http://ptifo.clanmckeen.com/viewtopic.php?p=830#830
    Be sure to edit the variable $categories_hierachy_on in admin_quiz.php if you have CH installed. Instructions found in admin_quiz.php

    Upgrading to v1.0.6 from v1.0.5
    Overwrite quiz files and reapply changes to page_header.php

    To use images in your quiz (questions, and multiple choice answers) use the bbCode Image
It has always been my intention to provide a quality MOD, without the need to edit many files.
The Ultimate Quiz Mod only requires 5 files to be edited, and code changes can be implemented in less than 10 minutes by hand, and 1 minute with EasyMOD.

1.0.x Development is Complete, and no further changes will be made unless Bugs or Security issues are found.

Work has begun on 1.1.x, if you wish to follow the progress, please view the CVS, at Cmxmods.net: http://cmxmods.net/cvs.php?mode=quiz&version=11x

This MOD has been submitted to the MOD DB for review.

Cool i like the idea... but what about giving the option of only able to do the quiz once? Anyway I want this mod... so yeah! :D

what about time limit...? Like if it we had like a bunch of quizs people can take but it s a comp, and must be completed in one day etc...? And can it also have a set premission, say that only those who have 200 post can do that quiz? or perhaps a level by getting the most quiz right...

Of course some advanced things I may not be able to do, because I'm by no means a PHP Expert :lol:

Wicked idea. I would love to see this mod!

How about the ability to have the quizes tie into the points or cash mods? IE gain points based on score.

Yes, there is a huge amount of interest in quiz mods, and none of them I've seen do a very good job. Hope you get it working!

Well I am soooo liking the mod so far... Ok more ideas... Hem... Have type in it, like we can have a general quiz, or a science, or even a more zoology quiz, possibly statistical quizs etc...?

Quiz author will type the question, then the answer. For example:

Question: Who is the author of the Ultimate Quiz Mod
Answer: battye

Then the person playing the quiz will see the question, and type in battye :)
So you should be able to have any type of quiz you like :)

I have Cash Mod installed on my forum, so I know a bit, I guess it wouldn't be too hard to just increase the users total $$ by xx amount every time they get a correct answer :?
But I will need to look into that, it probably won't be something I add immediately, my first priority is to get something working!! :lol:

Something that people will probably take to are categories, that's something that's definately worth thinking about. If I should set it out like index.php I'm not sure, maybe a unique look is better.. What do you all think?

Ok... can you perhaps use the field user_points because if it's user_points, that its practically compatible with almost any pointing system!!! :)

I would like it. Here's some features I would like: Score output into percentage right/wrong. Highscore list for each quiz. That's all I can think of for right now. Ty and keep up the good work. :D

Napoleans was the abandonned one wasn't it? I have never used it, but I'm sure it won't be the same :)

So like, once you've finished the quiz, it will tell you:

Congratulations, you have 80% correct answers!
