RJHart,

The directions are in the root of the install under a file named
the_blog_mod_v023.txt.

Just insert the SQL entries as you have already, copy the files from the blog folder to the same folder in your PHPBB directory as indicated (Note you need to copy it to whatever template you are using if you are not using sub silver. Then look at the code below, you have to edit a handful of files, the install will tell you specifically what files to edit. Some edits are optional and it will tell you what value add the code has. Some code edits are required and are indicated as required just above the code.

I've posted a working demo of the tutorial I've been working on...it's nowhere near complete, but it's a start. Please offer any suggestions and/or critiques in that thread instead of here. I just wanted to let ya'll know in case you haven't been to the demo site yet.

Hello,

I have just upload all the files to my website and i did everything what you want me to do it but i just cannot create any blog pages?? I also cannot see anything about the creation in my admin panel.
I have these links in my admin panel but i can't see any link to create a new blog.

Weblog Admin

-Action Choices
-Configuration
-Mood Choices
-Weblog Templates
-Tools & Management

I have none script or database error as well. When i click on "blog" link from the index, i get "No Blogs have been created. Please wait for one to be created or create one yourself." this message. But i don't have any create blog link neither in my index nor my profile page. Would you guys help me on that? thanks.

Wow, my server went down (and is unfortunately, staying down indefinitely) so everything will have to be discussed here. I need a list of mirrors as of course it's no longer available at my site.

Reason? Lightning Storm. Fortunately, it's a brand new motherboard so the warranty is still good on it. (whew)

Wow, Hyperion, I'm sorry about your server...I hope ya get things up and running again in a timely manner.

For those interested in the blog tutorial, here's the link again:

There are four sections left to do, but I need help with them. I am unfamiliar with how the permalinks, trackbacks, and rss feeds work. If someone is willing to explain them to me I would be grateful. The only other section left, besides tweaking, is the "how to customize your blog" section, but that won't take long.

Again, any help on the rss, permalink, and trackback sections would be appreciated.

Once these last sections are completed I will post a link for download.

As always, suggestions and critique are welcome.

Has anyone got the download? I only just came across this Mod and it seems just what I need! If anyone knows of an alternative location to download it I'd be very grateful. I'm also very happy to host it if need be.
